After sitting through a 2 hour seminar we received a 3 day/2 night travel. We sent in our paperwork with 3 dates to choose from. We never heard anything from this company after sending in a deposit of $60. After the 1st date passed we had a change of plans with a family member getting married and wanted to change the location. After going over the list with customer service all the locations we looked into they no longer worked with them. At that time i wanted the cancel the trip but the lady on the phone said they only way this was to be cancelled was to send in the paperwork as they could not accept the cancellation over the phone. The paperwork was never sent in expecting to use the 2 future dates. We are within 2 weeks from my last travel date and still not hear anything. When called to inquire today the lady was very rude so i asked for supervisor and same rudeness kept interrupting everytime i started to speak. She said it was in the notes that i stated i was going to cancel but the paperwork was never sent in. 4 months later they still have that note in there. I was going to use this but requested another representative. They refused to give me another representative to work with so I am cancelling this all together. Will see if we get a refund. If no refund I will take to higher levels.
Deposit had to also be in form of a certified check.

Misunderstanding

Dear Susie,
I would like to apologize for any misunderstanding between you and your agent. I do show that Jane left a voicemail on 03/06/14 at 11:02 am with an offer to travel. I do not show a response from you until 03/19/14 at 1:24 pm when you spoke with Rachelle and stated you wanted to cancel. We do require an official cancellation to be in writing in order to process the refund, however when a customer states they want to cancel via telephone a note is made in the file so nothing further happens on that file. The reason we do that is because sometimes is takes a while for customers to send in the cancellation notice and if we were to call them back for a new date in the interim, they tend to get upset and feel that we disregarded what they told us previously. We do take our customers very seriously and try and follow their lead with what they want to happen on their travel vouchers. In this case I can see that was not to your benefit. I will certainly look into that policy to see if it needs to be changed. I see a full refund of your $60.00 was sent on 07/03/14. Again, I want to apologize that you were unable to travel with us and felt your only recourse was to cancel your file. That is never our intention, we want to travel all of our customers. Please feel free to contact me at (407) 562-1891 x6 if you have any questions.
Best regards,
Kara Groat
