I have been making addtional payments to pay my principal down for the last year. I have a FIXED loan with them at 6.99% and they have been applying the interest and principal how ever they want for the past year. I have NEVER missed a payment and NEVER paid less then the amount owed. My last payment was COMPLETELY applied towards interest, NOTHING was applied towards princpial. I paid 119 over the amount owed and the total payment was applied to the interest. I asked why and was told because it was 5 days late it was the additional interest owed. THIS IS THE WORSE COMPANY EVER I COULD GO ON FOREVER BUT NOT WORTH IT I AM FILING COMPLAINTS ABOUT THEM EVERY WHERE I CAN
