Southern California Edison SCE Application 10-11-009 Increase On SCE Customers For Catalina Water Utility Rosemead California

SCE (Southern California Edison), is the owner and operator of CPUC-regulated water on Catalina Island utility.  SCE proposed a rate increase that would have been an 85% increase to Catalina Island residence and businesses, known as application 10-11-009.  So rather then implement this increase to Catalina residence, the CPUC (California Public Utilities Commission) approved a .09 per month increase to SCE customers for 12 months.

If this isn't socialism, I dunno what is.  Why do southern California residence need to pay for Catalina residence?  If SCE can't manager their water company properly, then they should either sell it off or eat the loss.  SCE isn't exactly broke.  I've been to a few of their public outings and they are top notch (I mean they serve steak).  When I received advertisement from SCE, it's on an expensive 3 color brochure.  Surely, there is plenty of fat there to cut.  This is an approved increase on top of many other increases.  So, southern California residence will receive zero benefit from this increase, yet get to foot the bill.

What a rip off.
