Spirit Airlines Stolen Luggage Miramar Florida

In July, 2007 I flew Spirit Airlines to Fort Lauderdale from Las Vegas. I was returning from a two week vacation. My luggage never made it. I visited the Spirit Airlines lost luggage department and notified them. After two days, I went back to the airport and still no luggage. They were suppose to deliver my luggage to my house when it arrived.

It never did. I sent in my claim form with any available receipts on 7/31/07. I have verification that my claim form was received and signed for at the corporate HQ's in Miramar well within the 30 day window allowed. They never responded to my claim. They will not answer phone calls. I sent a follow-up letter in October, certified mail and they never responded to that either. They refuse to acknowledge my claim. Apparently, I am not alone according to newspaper reports in South Florida. Something needs to be done about luggage disappearing from Spirit Airlines in Fort Lauderdale airport.
