Star Capital Securities Inc. Tried to get me to cash a check drawn on a Florida bank from a Canadian company. Chatham Ontario

I received a report from Star Capital Securities Inc. saying I won an American Shoppers Sweepstakes which was held on May 5th,2008 in the 2nd category. My ticket serial no. 38476075 drew the lucky winning no. 38477889.
I was told I won a total of $125.000.00. This was from the $5 Million total prize money divided between 40 winners.

So, to expedite the process, cash this check for $4,875.00 and send us $2,975.00 to cover government taxes and keep the rest and we'll send you the rest of your money. When It's processed you will receive a check by Fed Ex in the amount of $120,125.00.DO NOT attemp to use this check until you call us first. WHY????? So they can try to find a way for you to illegally cash it. This is FRAUD in the first degree.

SOmeone somewhere has to know how to stop these people. If you do cash this check it will be on your record for the rest of your life as fraud. I know for a fact. You'll have to repay the whole amount. These people need to be stopped because there are too many gullable people out there that will fall for this.
