I allowed myself to be fooled by these people
thinking that for once something good was happening to me. They tell you to answer yes to all the prompts in the recording but tell you "don't worry, this doesn't pertain to you. You won't be charged anything" They need this because the Payment Processing Center cannot precess the payment without hearing the recording and then they throw it in your face.

Call the Payment Processing Center to make your complaint and they can also block any other payments from coming out while you are getting things handled with your bank. Their # is 1-866-223-8711 and I spoke to Lisa.

Also, our bank was very happy to help us with this problem, they have delt with Star Communications before. You sign affidavits that you did not authorize these charges and are willing to prosecute.

Payment Processing Center Lies Too

AUTHOR: Genevieve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, January 19, 2006

I recently read this post (as I was concerned for my financial security regarding Star Communications) and I took the advice of the author, calling the payment processing center. I was notified by them that Star had already debited my account for the amount of $129.90 for Fantasy Vacation, as well as $4.95 for Family Fun Pass and an additional $4.95 for Star. I did not authorize these transactions (minus the 1 for Star) and I asked them what we could do about it. The woman I spoke with proceded to tell me that all she could do was send an email on my behalf, to the company, for a refund, and block my account. If I didn't get a call from them within 5 days I should call her back. I was furious, at that point, because of the bogus charges so I called Star back at one of the many different numbers provided by the generous patrons (complaintants) of this site. I was informed by them that I was charged for these things also, but they got their story mixed up saying that the $129.90 was for the Family Fun Pass not the Fantasy Vacation. I notified them that I had already spoken with the US Secret Service (# provided in a post from fort know, KY) and they said I would still have to wait 4-6 weeks for a refund. Needless to say I went to my bank to dispute the charges, and I found out that there were no charges on my account from ANY of these companies. I closed my account immediately to avoid any charges from happening and I feel much better. The purpose of submitting this information is to let you know that you can't trust anyone.
