I do not think that the Settlement is wright and fair. It does not say, that all our leases are canceled and we do not have to pay any more. It would give us only a small "drop out of the sea" of money these fraudulent companies are still trying to get.

I'm not sure if anybody should agree to the Settlement unless it would clearly say that we do not owe any more payments to them.

Please, whoever agrees to this write it here , so everybody else can think about it before signing any papers.

RipOff Class Action Suit - Why Bother ?

AUTHOR: Melody - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 05, 2008

I agree with this response. I don't understand giving 3 months payments back. I don't make my payments anyway. That, to me, is not even worth the trouble for a lawsuit. They ripped me off and if they come after me I don't mind going to court. I think that I would win. I think that there is enough people here that would write a paper for me and fax it to my attorney should they try to take me to court. I never signed a paper or have a contract so that wouldn't apply to me anyway. They never did what they said they would do or hold up to their end of the deal or uphold their promises. The problem that I have is that they have ruined my credit. They turned it into the creditors and I have written them telling them that I was scammed but it is still on my credit report. I can't even get credit because of these jerks. I think if the class action suite was anything at all, they should have to get it off our credit.
You want me to tell you what I think it is? Why would anyone take these people to court for 3 lousey months? THat doesn't make sense to me. The purpose is to make this null and void and to get it off your credit, right? So NO>>>THIS IS NOT FAIR AT ALL!!!!! I think it must be a hoax to get people to send something in so they will know where all of these people are so they can REsend the collection notices. It is a hoax to find you and get your telephone numbers and addresses. It is all for their benefit. If it was legit, why would someone go to this trouble to just get 3 months payments. Like I said to me, it doesn't apply to me because I quit making the payments anyway and don't intend to make another one.... bad credit or good credit.
They contacted me via email because I had filled out a work from home thing on the internet. The man called me and everything was done on the internet. I did what they said to do but they never did what he said they would do and it never worked out how they said it would work out. He just sent me something on the internet saying that I had to pay so much a month and I did as long as I had their website but when it never worked.... I was out approx $2,000 so I quit paying. How in the world can they ruin my credit without proof that I even agreed to this other than my emails. I don't understand.
So to be fair... they will have to fix my credit and call me null and void.
Screw 3 months..... 3 months of what? I quit making the payments when they proved that they weren't doing what they were supposed to do. I was just stupid because I stuck with it for nearly 2 years. In my estimation, that was 2 yrs too long. I am out the money not them so their credit should be affected if you ask me, not mine.

A1 Lease settlement

AUTHOR: B. Stevens - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 30, 2008

I too received the notice of settlement. After reading it a few times, the settlement was still not clear, I am not a lawyer, and don't understand all their "were as and what for's". Long story short, there is a contact number for the lawyer assigned to this case. I did contact him, can't remember the name, but it is on the settlement notice. It took him a few days to get back to me, but when he did, he explained that the settlement agreement was that A1, would drop the last three payments of your lease, and that we were still responsable for the contract, minus the last three payments. So, depending on how much there are ripping you off for, it's roughly about $500 you don't have to pay. Guess we will find out more in August when it goes before the judge. Good luck.
