State Farm Auto Insurance Had a car hit me while i was inside the mall and i got blamed for the hit and run! Ft Worth Texas

I was very statsifed with State Farm until i relized that they were one of the biggest rip off companies ive ever came by. A friend and I was shopping at the golden triangle mall for a few hours, When we were done we walked outside to my truck only to find that someone had backed into my truck messing up my bumper and leaving blue paint on the bumper. I called the police department first and they said they didnt have time to waste on a hit and run without a license plate number so i hung up the phone and called my insurance company to file the report.

The lady that i talked to said it would've helped if i had a police report even after i told her what the police said, they set up a accident report appointment at the repair center two days later. I went in and got my truck looked at, they wrote me a check and sent me on my way leaving my to think that everything was going to be okay and that they took care of me pretty well....I was wrong about two months later my insurance went up about $60 a month and i was looking at other insurance companies because the price became to expense.

I had always heard good things about (((competitor's name redacted))) so i went there first and when i filled out all the paper work and they called me to comfirm a few things that brought up a hit and run on my record, they said that state farm apperantly paid the lady that hit me in the mall parking lot a total of $700 for damages to her vechile and that i was the at fault driver. When i called state farm to talked to them they said that they could not reveal the accident because it had already been taken care of. Less than a week later after i changed insurance companies i recieved a letter from state farm about the accident that had the ladys name in it and the vechile info, which matched the vechile that was parked behind me the day of the accident. The letter also included a bill for $450 even tho i paid my final month before i told them i was switching.

So my advice to everyone else if you get into a accident with state farm you better make sure that they file it right or else you will be out of a lump sum of money....
