I was a statefarm customer for 15 or more years, had one chargable accidentin that time. everything was looking good no problems. I was advised by agent to carry uninsured motorist on my policy. Ok had two vehicles, paid premumems for all required insurance. full coverage on one vehicle. told me could get stacking coverage.$25000.00 ea.=50000.00.so i would not have to worry if someone hit me and had no insurance, sound good to me

In July/1999; Matter of fact it was 07/04/99; was involved in a crash. the other driver/owner did not have insurance, no worriesrs right, the GOOD NEIGHOBER Was on my side. well I was told not to worry by my GOOD NEIGHOBER. My wife was injured in this crash,no problem we had the best coverage all will be taken care of. WRONG!! Reassurance all will be taken care of NOT SO LIE
she went from doctor to doctor until PIP&Medical benefits ran out.

Now our vehicle, 1989 Buick Century. a rep. in florida local office, offers me 1000.00 less 500.00 deductable.I told him to replace my vehicle for that ammount. he stated could not replace for that ammount, but thats all I was going to get.

My reply to that was let me see what a lawyer says, told me I was wasting my time a lawyer would not do any good he calls the shots for state farm!!. The next day called me said woulg give $2000.00/2500.00. less my deductable of course.

I was also told I did NOT need a lawyer, I could get more out of state farm without one. Just cooperate with them What a JOKE. so in 2001 got a lawyer to take the case for my wife and take care oe medical bills and percriptions($350.00/month.

Insurance offer $5000.00? had 50000.00 coverage whats the deal. Refused offer.as of July-01/03 nothing yet. On July 02/03 received letter from lawyers office from state farm long letter short message now offer is 1000.00. Whats up with this.

When this all started I ask about the problems state farm was having up north. Was told this is Florida we are nothing like that down here. ANOTHER LIE! Sent my wife to a doctor on state farms payroll, Report said couldn't find anything wrong no supprise he gets paid to say that. Ends report with comments the only thing he could determine my wife was a middle aged female and FAT!!! Any advise on this matter? I would be greatfull.

please respond using the rebuttal Thanks for your time.

State Farm is not a bad company but Your Agent Lied

AUTHOR: KIM - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 13, 2003

Philip,

I am currently working for State Farm and I can tell you that the only coverages that you can stack on your auto insurance policy is you uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage. This is a coverage that takes care of your bodily injury in case of an accident where the responsible party has no insurance or not enough insurance. These limits can be stacked (example: Lets say that you have 20/40 uninsured motorist coverage on two vehicles through State Farm. This would stack to become 40/80. What this means is that you would have 40,000 per person bodily injury up to 80,000 per accident. this applies to bodily injury only. as for your other limits, those apply to the other persons vehicle. The amount that they pay you is determined by the book value on you vehicle minus the deductible. That would mean that you actually did not have 50,000 to cover your vehicle. I am so sorry that your agent lied to you about your coerages. Please respond if you have any questions or if I can help in any way.
