IT MAY NOT SEEM LIKE MUCH....

But it's the principle of the thing. Sugarcraft, Inc., a company that tries to come across on it's message board as a caring, sharing company, does not come across that way if they have done someone wrong.

First they told me they did not change their prices after I ordered from them. Then, they tried to justify it by telling me "We state 'PRICES SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE'".

On Feb. 28, 2003, I ordered 4 identical items for cake decorating from this Sugarcraft. Delivery was very prompt, as always (I have dealt with them in the past). BUT, upon delivery, when I checked my receipt, I discovered my credit card had been charged almost 80% above the posted price for my items. The amount in question, is small, I was charged $1.19 (4 times) for items listed in their catalog at .69 ea. It's only 2.00, but, like I said it's the principle of the matter.

When I realized they were not going to credit my credit card. I Looked them up on the BBB site. Bingo! I looked them up on the Attorney General Ohio Site, Bingo again. I was told by someone to check your site, Bingo again. These people probably do this all the time. I do not see how they can get away with charging more for their product without asking or notifying you.

I posted a "nice" message on their message board, suggesting people check with places like the BBB before they do business with people they really don't know. My message was deleted within hours. I did not point fingers or name names. I was trying to be nice, like I said. The owner of the store does not leave messages on her board if it remotely refers to a competitor, or could in any way afect the image she is trying to maintain.

I posted another message when I visited her site early this week and read what I realized was poison pen rants directed at ME! Someone else had had a problem with Sugarcraft and apparently their aol IP address was pretty close to mine and she went off.

Many nasty emails followed from her. I never once called her names - even though I was called names by her. I kept them all, I don't know why, but maybe if there is enough evidence and complaints against this woman, someone might be interested in seeing what I have. You would not believe some of the things this woman tries to get away with. It would make your heads spin. (Quick case in point: She has an 'announcement' bright and clear on her website, telling everyone she has suspended all shipments to France because she heard on TV all shipments would be confiscated! I emailed UPS (the company they use) and received a VERY prompt reply stating that was not true and suggesting I ask Sugarcraft why they are stating that. There are many other things similar to this that she does to try and maintain her customers' loyalty (or something).

People who visit her website and message board will be the first to say, "There are two sides to every story", but Sugarcraft will only allow one side to be presented on their forum - THEIRS. And their side in this case is wrong, no matter how you look at it. She can call me names and ban me from shopping her site or tell me to quit visiting her message board, but no matter what she does or says to me, but it won't change the facts. I know I have done NOTHING WRONG.

Sugarcraft, Inc. stole from me and I am not the first and unfortunatly I probably won't be the last. They should own up to what they have done, learn their lesson and NEVER DO IT AGAIN.
