....This Place is Horrible!!!-Current resident I dont even know where to start. The office lady is so rude and unprofessional. She stands and smokes outside all day (try to call!! Shes outside!). The maintenance manhow do I put this? IT TOOK SEVEN TIMES TO FIX MY DOOR!!!! Twice to fix water coming out the wall too!!!! I had to call code compliance to get them to fix these problems. Yes, water coming out the wall for days till the city told them they had to fix it!?!! Oh, dont let forget to tell you about the ROACH infestation. There are so many that they are not even afraid of you. I didnt notice all the dead ones painted into the walls until I moved in! If you shake the dishwasher all these dead bodies fall out. They come and spray every once and a while, not upstairs though, if you beg and beg. It doesnt help. The apartment is full of middle age drug addicts and drunks. I have seen syringes in the dumpster. When I told my neighbor, she said she saw one of the neighbors shooting up in his car. I had a neighbor ask me if I had a glass pipe! The ladies in the office liked me at first and told me all about the other neighbors! Stuff like rent issues, personal issues, and who was being evicted. Now they are telling stuff about me to the neighbors. Once you up set them they retaliate. Ok. I called corporate to complain about the bugs. That day I got a notice on my door about the other half of my pet deposit. I called to get my frig fixed and got a notice about a wooden bench on my porch. I have 19 different pictures of wooden and cloth furniture on porches, they are all still there too. They didnt get notes. The pool hasnt changed much. There was no mention of the smell from the trash at the pool. I got brave and looked insidediapers, leaves, beer bottles and a few feet of water making a horrible soup. This summer my little girls where in the pool, (IT WAS ON A CLEAN WEEK) And they started complaining about burning down there, you know what I mean. I rushed them to the shower. They cried, it was sad and completely unacceptable. The office lady told me that the maintenance man shocked it and it should have been closed. The pool is 5 feet from the office where the two office ladies AND the maintenance man sat. You think they didnt see though all the windows my little girls get in the pool???? I wonder if that was because I called corporate a few days before. Also the gutters are broke so water goes on the walkway and gets you soaked. There are exposed wires sticking out of the ac units that are being held together with plastic zip ties. There is deeze nutz written in the concrete. And the pet breed restriction ha I moved in and my neighbor had four pit bulls!!!!!

I want everyone to know that I am a resident of Parkwood Square Estates, and I have been for the last 2 years...infact I just signed ANOTHER renewal this past Saturday.  I love living here!  I have never come across any of the above reported problems. 

I have read complaints like this on a few other websites and I am here just basically to let everyone know that they are false!  Our managent staff and maintence team are wonderful.  I am a single mom and my porch light recently stopped working.  After changing the bulb and it still not working, I asked the maintence man if he could please take a look at it when he got a chance the following day.  I didn't let the management staff know of this problem until after I told our maintence man.  Keep in mind that our office closes at 6PM and it was around 5:30PM when I made him aware of this problem...he came to my apartment and took care of my light right then, even though he had put all of his things away and gotten ready to close the shop down for the night.   

I am friends with many of the residents out here and they all feel the same way I do!  Plus, to address the supposed alcoholics and drug dealers....I am outside visiting with my friends all the time, plus I have a puppy that I have to take outside to potty all the time, sometimes in the middle of the night...you would think that I would have seen at least one of these drug deals take place....HAVEN'T SEEN ANY!!!!

When I first moved in, my unit had a roach infestation, I alerted the office who put me on pest control every time he would come.  Normally he rotates through the units every 2nd and 4th Thursday, and before he hits each unit, a yellow flyer is put on your door alerting you what day your pest control will be so that you can make sure all of your stuff is taken care of for him to spray-this inculdes locking animals up.  Now, if you have a problem with them and you notify managment you are put on the list for treatment EVERY time he is here until the problem is resolved.  When he would come to my apartment I would show him where we were seeing them and he would spray the infected areas.  I would take all of my dishes out of my cabinets and he would get in them, behind my refrigerator and he would even take my drawer out from under my stove and bait all underneath it.  Within just  a couple of treatments the problem was gone and I haven't had one since. 

And yes, our manager does smoke but as soon as the phone rings, she gets it (unless you are one of the very few residents that call just to harrass her)...as soon as someone starts walking up towards the office, she puts her ciggerette out and gets ready to take care of business. 

She doesn't discrimante against you if you call corporate, I myself have never called corporate, but I have had neighbors that have felt the need to.  The management staff still treats them just as though they never had called.  And lets discuss the absurd aligations of our manager not liking her because she is a "homosexual" ....my sister is gay and is over at my house all the time.  Our manager treats her just like she does any other resident out here.....with the upmost respect.  And she knows my sister is gay, she knew before she ever met her. 

Now, let's address the pool issue.  Our maintence man had to take classes on how to treat and clean the pool before the city would even allow them to open it.  Our pool is very well taken care of.  My kids and I go swimming in it all the time and never have a problem!  It's amazing that this is the only person that's ever had this problem and I can guarentee that her and her little girls were back in the pool that weekend.  I know this because this is a small complex and the same group of people are in the pool every weekend!

I would recomend these apartments to anyone!

I have been in the apartment industry since 1994. I have worked at several communities and several management companies and have never been subjected to such insidious slanderous allegations.

I have caller I.D. and if I choose not to answer a phone call due to harassment, I have that option.

This particular resident has been seen tearing up a doorsweep that was installed and I of course cannot comment on what other things may have been destroyed inside as I dont live there but the door work orders I personally stood and watched maintenance repair and verify that the work was completed and completed well. Resident stated to me that she was keeping a log of how many times she had to call on the same issue. I have no control over someone sabatoging work that was completed. Twice coming to fix a water line ( 2 different water lines, sorry we are not psychic and did not know a different water line would leak - sabatoge?? who knows? I cant say) both hot water heater lines were repaired and this resident called the city who verified everything was satisfactory and left after asking if there were any other problems to which the resident said, no!The city did not tell us to fix that water line it was repaired prior to them coming out - we have the documentation!All of this is pure harassment.

Oh and the roach infestation - I have been in this apt several times with no roach infestation visible. This apt has been treated continuously but when a resident doesnt complete their end of requirements i.e. emptying cabinets, securing pets etc the pest control tech cannot complete the work to its utmost effectiveness. How then do you complain of such a bad problem? If i am so infested - you bet my cabinets are going to emptied my dog put up my fish tank turned off etc. I called my painting company to come and inspect the supposed roaches painted over - he saw no evidence at all but to pacify the resident we offered to have him come back and resand and paint - we just needed a scheduled day - still havent had a call about what day is good for that! that was in July! I have every documented day that pest control was in or at that apartment if anyone would like to see that info.

This resident came in last week with claims of the crack smoking. I asked why she didnt call the police. " oh, well wont that put a bad mark against your property if I call the police?" I said, " No, call em! If live here and I see that I am calling the cops and reporting it. I dont have a problem with that at all." But the one resident she claimed was smoking crack is a guy she lets hang over and use her phone - he told us that just the same week.  She accused another resident of shooting up, claims she saw him disposing of syringes. I asked " Do you think it is possible he has diabetes?" She doesnt know this guy from adam but is gonna accuse him of shooting up. Her statement was that she saw him disposing of the syringes not that anyone saw anyone shooting up!?!?! how did she see syringes , did he hold them up and wave em around?!?!?! Fabrication yet again.

This resident wants the office to go by the rules but doesnt want to follow them herself? You owe a pet deposit, you need to pay it. There were lots of folks that got that same notice and have paid.

The pool is always clean unless it has been heavily used by residents over a weekend. If it was so nasty why did you go back and swim again after your supposed claims of your childrens burning privates - I never saw them complaining of anything, WHat I do remember is her barging into the office yelling about something that was not verifiable and the water was immediately tested and was in normal parameters and NO ONE told her that anyone had just shocked that pool - once again, another fabrication to try and get people in trouble.

No one cares if you call corporate - they always call to find out what the situation is that is being reported. That is their job and they do it very well.

AND NO ONE had 4 pitt bulls, one guy had a pitt bull puppy and was made to move prior to your friend moving in a month later. * shaking my head* have you got documentary evidence of said 4 pitt bulls? Did you happen to get picture happy with that issue? Nah, thought not. fabrication - again.

GUTTER ISSUES eyewitness saw a resident jumping up and hanging from one to make it break but it was repaired anyway and after repairs yet another peice removed but miraculously it appeared after myself and maintenance were standing outside of the apartment discussing where that peice went?!?!?

This resident stands outside herself around anyone ,stating all her apartment issues to anyone that happens to be outside and can overhear. Stop accusing this office of wrongdoing when it is you, yourself ,that is talking to any and everyone and then saying it is us!

a/c unit wires are ziptied together to keep them from touching any fan motors or other areas that could cause problems  lol maybe research maintenance issues before writing about things of which you have no knowledge.

On of your other reviews, which you have spread all over, you state that this office is discrimating against homosexuals. You need to back off of that statement - I have several gay family members and dont appreciate that insult and will go to whatever extent of the law that I need to go to for prosecution for slander and harassment. You need to stop the false statements and leave people alone. I could care less what anyone's sexual orientation is - ITS NOT my business what anyone claims to be.  You and your friend need to report true facts , if you can do that and stop intermingling your two apartment issues as if they are one apartment issue!
