T-N-T Carports dba barns.com failure to complete or respond to calls Mount Airy North Carolina

A large metal building was ordered in November 2012.  Engineering drawings were required in order to lay the foundations - they should have arrived in a short time but didn't arrive until January.  At that point it was the rainy season here and our contractor could not dig for the footings - any water in them would render the site unusable for construction under local rules.  

Eventually it dried up enough that our contractor was able to pour concrete in July and installation of the building was scheduled for 19 August 2013.  The workers showed up and did most of the building, but had brought the wrong color metal for the lean-to roof.  Sometime after that - while we were not at the property - they came and finished the lean-to roof with the right color metal, and left the pieces for the top of the wall above it in the lean-to area.

Then nothing happened.  I made several calls to the company - always the person to whom I needed to speak was away, ill or had died.  Someone was always going to call back.   They never did.

Finally I let my wife loose on this.  When she called, she was told the staff were all in the break room for a party.  She suggested someone haul someone out of the break room NOW.  After a short while, another staff member took the call and after my wife reminded them that the next call would not be from us, but from our lawyer (don't ever get on her wrong side, it isn't pretty!) we were promised a call back and a copy of the email being sent to the person who needed to call us.  We never got the email, but at least we finally got a call back and a promise that workers would be here the following Monday or Tuesday LATEST to complete the job.

It's Wednesday.  Nobody showed up.  We filed a report with the local BBB - but they're not affiliated due to the number of adverse reports.  Their BBB score?  F.  And that doesn't stand for "fantastic".

Meanwhile when it rains, the water pours into the main building, so we can't keep anything there.
