Targetlocalmarketing.com, according to a person who uses the name Trish and claims to be located in Idaho, is working in conjunction with Info.usa to take the phone numbers from Craigslist ads and call those numbers to sell websites.  My ad on Craigslist is posted in California, not Idaho, and is asking for information about the theft of my car.  At 11:00am on May 19, 2015 a female called me to sell me a website, so she said.  She used the name Trish and her response to why I placed my ad, "I hope the thief needs your car more than you do".  No person on this earth, except a psychotically demented freak of nature, would say that.  Is Targetlocalmarketing a criminal enterprise going through craigslist ads all over the country to get phone numbers and information to then give to Info.usa and to harass people with solicitaions of unwanted websites?  They probably are.

Employee No Longer With the Company

AUTHOR: Director - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, July 02, 2015

Thank you for bringing this misunderstanding to our attention.  We are sorry your car was stolen. It is not a laughing matter and we apologize that one of our representatives would have made that comment. However, the manager on duty present for the conversation stated that she felt the conversation between you and Trish was lighthearted and it sounded as if you were establishing a good rapport bantering back and forth casually with no malicious intent, and that her statement was meant to lighten the mood by using humor. In no way was it meant seriously or to insult you. We apologize if it came off the wrong way. That employee is no longer with the company.

Our former employee was in our Website and Basic Hosting Division and calling to see if you were in need of a website for your business. As for our lead sources, we purchase business information from third party companies like Info USA from time to time like many other companies do. We generally call service-based businesses in the construction industry to offer web development. If there is any coincidence that you had a Craig's List ad that happened to be running at the same time, it is merely coincidence. We do not sell or provide information to InfoUSA. We have been in business for 10 years and have approximately 2,000 website and basic hosting clients in addition to roughly 150 full scale SEO clients, many of which have been with us for many years without ever being locked into contracts. Reputation is important to us and we seek to build long-term relationships with our clients through value, performance and professionalism. We are not looking to make anyone upset and do apologize for Trish's statement. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we will be sure this never happens again.
