Target.com refusing to honor advertised Britax Marathon sale price Internet

I was alerted to a great deal on the Britax Marathon car seat at www.target.com and since I am expecting my first child within the next month, my husband and I jumped at the offer. How often do you see such a high quality item at such a discount? Not often, but we thought it was a sale to promote Christmas/Holiday purchases in advance of "Black Friday". While some say it was too good to be true, we thought it was quite the marketing plan.

Well, according to Target it was an error and they have since canceled most of the orders placed. There are a number of orders that did ship because the error was not caught before the seats were shipped.

I received a confirmation email with an order number and estimated shipping date after placing my order. I did not receive a cancellation email until after I had heard about the problem through an online forum of which I am a member. I checked the status of my order and it was indeed canceled. There was no explanation - just the statement that my order was canceled. I emailed customer service and only after that did I receive the notice that my order was canceled. I have yet to get an appropriate response addressing my concerns.

This is not the first time I've had issues with ordering from Target.com. Like I mentioned earlier, I am expecting my first child within the next month and while I dread the work of moving my baby registry - I cannot support an establishment that does not value its customers. If not for consumers, they wouldn't be in business.
