I was interested in a debt resolution plan. I was told they could help me. So I listened to the proposal and it sounded great. There was a lot of info left out. The creditors do not get any money for 6 months once your in the plan. They can call you. They do not have to agree to the settlement offered by the attorneys.

The attorneys get 15% of the total amount of the debt. There is also a monthly service charge of up to 40.00. It has a very serious impact on your credit report. Once I found all of the negatives I said no. Well, they went on to debit my account for 300.00 after my refusing their services.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Immediately call your bank and see if you can get what they call a "reversal ACH" meaning the bank will redeposit the withdrawal. Tell the bank you had not authorized this withdrawl and The Credit Exchange ignored your cancellation. This may be quicker and more effective than demanding a refund from The Credit Exchange. Then you need to contact The Better Business Bureau and file a complaint. There are many bad reports on them and people to check this bureau out before they become involved with The Credit Exchange. All complaints listed are factual and what I saw being an employee there at one time. Good Luck !
