The Grout Medic Hired to fix grout, ended up with ripped and damaged carpet and cracked tiles Englewood, Colorado

Technicians from The Grout Medic came out to clean the grout in my kitchen.  They tore back my carpet while fixing a crack in the grout.  I emailed the company to report the problem with the carpet as well as the fact that some of the grout lines were still cracked to see when they could come out to fix it.  A week went by with no response so I called their main office.  They claimed they never received my email and would have someone come out to look at it.  

The person who came out to fix it asked me for a spatula and proceeded to "tuck" the torn carpet back under the tile and said it was fixed.  The carpet continued to unravel.  He said he would have someone call me to schedule a time for a technician to come out and fix the other grout lines.  Again, a week went by and I did not hear from anyone at the company so I had to call them again.  

I told him my carpet was still torn and unravelling and no one had contacted me to come fix anything.  He proceeded to tell me that he would have his grandfather go buy a special tool to fix my carpet the next day and then would come back to fix the carpet.  Instead, he sent a technician out who basically did the exact same thing he tried to do with the spatula.  The technician also proceeded to tell me that they never touch carpet when working on grout and that he and his boss thought I was lying because there was no way they could have done it.  Not only did he not fix the carpet, but he also messed up "fixing" the grout lines so we had to have another person come out and fix them again.  Furthermore, the whole time he was working, he kept saying how the technicians who did the job in the first place, did not fix the grout lines properly.

Needless to say, it took us several phone calls and 6 appointments to get the tile and grout cleaned in our kitchen.  This company is extremely overpriced, unprofessional and in the end, we were very disappointed with the quality of their work.  Now, every time I walk into my kitchen, I am reminded of this whole fiasco as evidenced by our unravelled carpet.

The ironic thing is that on each of the 6 visits to our home, I had to listen to someone from this company tell me to please refer them to family and friends.  Maybe they should have been more concerned about doing their job than convincing me to refer them.  You can be sure that I won't be referring them to anyone.  Rather, I will do my best to make sure that nobody uses them!
