My sister called and invited my husband and I to go to a meeting and learn about real estate. It is something my husband and I had been thinking about starting to invest in and so we attended the conference with them. We also invited my husbands brother, Chad, to attend with us. I had already told my husband that we were just going to listen and not buy anything, however, after listening to the conference we decided that with a FULL ONE HUNDRED PERCENT MONEY BACK GUARANTEE that was sold the whole time we couldn't go wrong.

They were nothing but slick salesmen that had no intention of ever making good on any guarantee. I was really hesitant on buying any program like this because of the fact most programs talk big but that is all. This was different because they were backing it up with a full gurarantee. That is the only reason I ever agreed to buy anything with The Real Estate Network (TREN).

The first paper we signed made me very hesitant and resistant to do business with them. It didn't have the guarantee on it. I asked My partner about that and so he called Scott Morris and asked him. He said not to worry that paper only held our spot in the class and that more information would be available with the guarantee at the class. I felt something was wrong but didn't follow my gut.

The class came and my partner and I all attended. In the class they passed out another contract. This one did have the guarantee in it. This made me very happy. They said that they would make copies and return a copy to us. We never did get a copy. I soon forgot about that with the stuff they were trying to show us that worked in their market. We finished the three day class and began to try to put it into reality.

We spent months of working to make this a realitiy, however the reality is that their ideas that they found to have sucess in their market do not work in ours. The many people they brought in to talk to us about special fields all said they didn't know how successful we could be because our market was different. Scott assured us the whole time that we could make it work.

The conditions Scott said we needed to meet were to have at least 30 offers in 6 months. If we didn't have any success during that time after 6 months that they would be happy to refund our money. After the countless hours of searching, countless houses we dragged our children through, many other ways we spent money to make it a success, we failed at making any of our offers go through.

We then notified Scott of our failures and asked him to make good on his promise. He asked to see our worksheets showing that we had fulfilled the gurarantee agreement. We sent him all the information. He said that we did fulfill the requirements and that he needed to talk with his partners. What we got was months and now years of unfulfilled business promises. Scott is nothing but a very good salesman with broken promises and that is it. He said that they didn't have a guarantee in Phoenix. That was only after he said that it wasn't about the money and that he would write us a check but that he didn't want to see us fail. Then he said that it wasn't about the money, he didn't care about the money but there was no guarantee.

He contradicts himself several times during the corrispondence we had following. He doesn't know what he said and didn't. We contacted several other members of the group and EVERYONE remembers the guarantee and has found the same results as us in the market and with TREN.

The company was unable to fulfill any promises and now everyone would like them to make good on their word, yet they now say that they didn't promise anything.

Scott and I e-mailed many times but Scott didn't want to honor his agreement and that was the only way that would satisfy our partnership. We fulfilled what TREN required and now we ask the same of them. We want our agreement honored and no more childish games. However that is all Scott knows how to play. He has many times said that he would give our money back, however the next minute he says that he will sue. He is not one to get mixed up in business with unless you just want to be paying him for nothing. Not one person in our group was able to but a house from his methods. NOT ONE!

Scott continues to say that we have no guarantee but I do have it in writing. Our "Mentoring Agreement" states that there are no refunds EXCEPT as stated in the "No risk money back guarantee" and even with it in writing they will not stand behind there words. They don't mentor, they don't keep promises but they do threaten you.

Don't get mixed up with these guys. They have a criminal record in the state of Texas for fraud and that is exactly what they are.

Updated information on TREN and Scott Morris

AUTHOR: Heather - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, February 28, 2007

I am the one who originally filed the Rip-off-report. Since I filed, I reported this company and man to the Attorney General, BBB and the Federal Trade Commission. The attorney general and FTC both said that they only handle big cases, not only one complaint. They said they would keep my complaint on file and if they received enough complaints they would then investigate.

However, the BBB helped me arbitrate the matter. The arbitrator ruled in my favor stating that Scott Morris and TREN do indeed owe me the $6719.00 that I paid for their course. That was ruled back in December, however, Scott has still not paid the money awarded to me. He has given me several excuses, he was out of the country for a month, said that his company is braking up etc. His web site for both of his companies are very well still up on the net.

The only thing I have ever asked for is the return of this money. I would drop this whole thing if he would just keep his word, but he hasn't and won't, so I am alerting everyone that I can that you need to be careful when listening to this man.

He is a smooth talker! I don't know what is truth and what is not. Throughout arbitration he continued to tell the arbitrator that he would gladly do as the arbitrator ruled. After he lost his tone changed alot. He withdrew his company from the BBB and said some very childish things. He was just confident he couldn't be wrong, however, he is wrong. He owes us money and will not pay.

I am now taking action to uphold the arbitration agreement with our legal system getting a judgement against him. I am just awaiting hearing from our attorney.

More Trash

AUTHOR: Scott - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, October 22, 2006

Soctt Morris again to answer another unfair comment by another unnamed person. Chris from Santa Maria. Chris, we have never been to California, so where did you come from.

I will continue to monitor this web site for more trash from loosers who think it's funny to try to destroy people and companies that produce value.

Why do none of these people identify themselves fully. If I was known only as Scott from Austin, I would not have any reason to reply to this garbage, but my full name, address and phone number have been posted by these punks, and if I do not respond it is considered a sign of guilt.

None of these people will meet me to debate the merits of their argument, because it's so much more fun for them to just use cowardly smear tactics and never have to answer to anyone.

Just imagin if you were in my shoes for a minute. Being accused of a bunch of lies and no way to defened myself or my company. The fact that the Arizona AG, and the BBB both agree with me means nothing to them, they just continue to smear.

It will end one day, and what you have tried to do will have diminsished your life in the process. You are all faceless and nameless cowards. I stand here fully exposed with nothing to hide.

You can't hurt me anymore than you already have. I hope for your sake it felt good. What you will suffer as a result of your dishonesty later in your life will not be so pleasant.

#3 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Member/Co-Founder

AUTHOR: Scott - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, October 21, 2006

My name is Scott Morris, one of the owners of The Real Estate Network. I have great news. The individuals who have posted this report against us have also sent a huge file documenting their case to the BBB, Attorney General, FBI, and FTC.

So far I have received a letter from the BBB stating that they have closed this case for lack of credible evidance that The Real Estate Network did anything wrong.

Better yet, just a few days ago 10/17/06 I received a letter from the Arizona Attorney General in response to our submission of evidance stating that "no further action will be taken".

I expect the same from the other agencies that these people have contacted.

As I have stated before, none of these people have a legal case so they have opted to try to destroy my reputation, that of my company and partner by smearing us unfairly on the FREE internet.

I have instructed my lawyer to request from this web site that they remove this posting. It is unfair, untrue, and the only reason it was posted to begin with is that the individuals believe it would be easier to get money out of us than to work for it.

I urge anyone who reads this stuff to also dig a little deeper to find out who is telling the truth and who is just a cry baby looking for a freebee.

Being the victim of this sort of smear has actualy helped me and my partner as some of our new joint venture partners has been forced to reveal some unpleasant details about their past to us.

The revelation that my partner and I were convicted of a felony ten years ago seems to wet their apetite and give them confidance that we can very easily be discredited. The fact is that our case is currently being reviewed for a pardon by the Governor because it has been determined and argued successfuly by our council that it was an unfair conviction. You see, at the time we had no money to defend ourselves, so we took the advice of our defender and pleaded a deal to stay out of jail.

We now have the money to set the record straight, and we are doing that.

All I have ever asked for is a fair hearing, and the only thing these people want is to destroy my company with untrue statements in the internet and now to as many government agencies that will listen to them. They will not succeed, and getting this lastest letter from the AG of Arizona is vindication and proof that they have no case and no reason to continue to attempt to damage TREN.
Thank you,
Scott A. Morris

Victims, Report to authorities

AUTHOR: Dennis - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, September 23, 2006

Having read the rebuttal Mr. Morris has posted to my report about the Real Estate Network, and finding that rebuttal to contain misrepresentations and inaccuracies, and continuing to have promises made by Scott A. Morris go unfulfilled, I would not believe a word Morris has written or said at any time.

I encourage all victims of this company to file complaints with;

The Austin TX Better Business Bureau,
http://www.centraltx.bbb.org,

The Attorney General of TX,
http://www.oag.state.tx.us/consumer/consumer.shtml

the Attorney General of the state where TREN conducted business with you,

and the Federal Trade Commission.
http://www.ftc.gov/ftc/consumer/home.html

If reports are true that Morris and his partner are felons convicted of fraud, the proper authorities need to be notified to help protect other consumers. Any additional information that can be posted regarding reported convictions of Mr. Morris and his partner, Matt Garcia, would be helpful. At the very least, it appears that there is a pattern of unfulfilled promises and withholding of refunds by this company which should be investigated by law enforcement.

Thank you to all who are spending time and energy in order to hold this company and its founders accountable.

Dennis
Gresham, OR
