I purchase club level seats through ticket city for an upcoming playoff game The company sent box seats instead (which have a face value of less than half of the tickets I ordered and none of the same amenities) In order to supply me with comparable tickets the company required me to pay an additional $127.

I purchased and received a confirmation for seats with a face value of $250 each. These were part of a gift for my wife including an overnight hotel, transportation etc... When I gave them to my wife she pointed out they were the wrong tickets and in fact the face value for them was only $110 each.
When I contacted ticket city to correct the mistake and give me the proper quality ticket I was told I would have to pay an additional $127. This was all after spending nearly 2 hours on the phone, resulting in a cxl staff meeting, loss of income and loss of money on the rest of the night planned for my wife and I.
This problem could have been easily solved by ticket city correcting the mistake but their bad business practices have escalated the situation. Documentation is available upon request

Hello Andy,
We appreciate your business and the feedback. We also greatly apologize for the problem with your order. I can assure you that it was not done maliciously and certainly with no intention of a bait and switch. Your issue was due to a mapping error with the listed tickets. It is rare but occasionally this happens with Red Sox games since unlike most stadiums they have multiple sections of the same name. For example there are four separate section 11's at Fenway Park.
The tickets were priced as box seats and not as club seats. As you stated the face value (and secondary market value) of the club seats are significantly higher so if the tickets you purchased were actually club seats they would have been much more expensive. We offered several options to rectify the situation including a full refund. We have taken the necessary steps to ensure this type of problem does not happen again.
