Tiger Direct offered free shipping on a $600 TV. I filled out the order form, took a break before I submitted it to walk the dog; by the time I returned, Tiger Direct had added $50 for shipping.  I phoned them, was on hold for an hour and was politely told to go pound salt.  LET THE BUYER BEWARE!

Where's the ripoff?

AUTHOR: Flynrider - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, December 16, 2011

Did they imply somehow that the free shipping would be guaranteed for as long as it took to walk the dog?  How about if you had to go do your grocery shopping?

From what I gather from your post, you decided not to submit your order while they were offering free shipping.  Now you are upset that free shipping was no longer available by the time you got around to submitting it.   Really?   What's the ripoff?   Are you invoking the dog walking clause that is implied in all Internet shipping offers?   Hahaha!

"was politely told to go pound salt. "

Really, the only thing I learned from your post is that they are polite.   Thank you.
