TIGER DIRECT REBATE SCAM ORLAND PARK Illinois

Tiger Direct in Orland Park advertised their price on a new computer I bought at $499 with a $70 mail in rebate.

When I got to the counter they charged me $429 for the computer, and $70 for some internet security suite.

I mailed in my rebate as instructed, then lo and behold, 4 weeks later I get a letter in the mail sayin unable to process rebate, missing upc off the box of the internet security thing.

Well - I mailed that in, with my ORIGINAL receipt as instructed, now I neither have my reciept OR my upc off the box.

Turns out, the price of the computer was only $429 - but they priced it on the shelf at $499 to mislead you into buying this stupid $70 program like it is a rebate, while the entire time I could have just bought the computer, but nobody told me that.

SCAM !

Call the store, they tell me they cant help me. I call the 1-800 number, they tell me that they dont deal with the store. I ask for a corporate number, they say they dont have one, dont know what to tell you...........
