This past thanksgiving, I ordered 3 kits from Tiny Details, each 55 dollars each (along with priority shipping since I needed the work really badly). The customer service rep., Dixie seemed happy that I wanted to work for her company and told me that it's going to be 2-3 weeks until the kits are sent since I was a new assembler (not a problem since I recently got a part time job at that time).

Me and my roommate tried to do the work once the kits came in, but to no avail, we could not punch the hole using small pins and nails, or glue the pieces of paper together without making either the product sloppy or 'filthy' as the company inspector called it (and i agree, it did look a wee bit dirty). So I cheefully sent my 2 kits back "Hey, i'd get 50 USD back, use it to get a work at home system that I knew i could do up. no problem" I thought.

I called the office about 1-2 weeks after I sent the kits back. And although on the 3rd call I was a bit rude and exasperated Dixie snapped at me saying that Tiny Details has 30 days to issue refunds and that it was rude of me to call in since they supposedly just got the kits 2-3 days before my 1st call. Also, she told me since i mentioned that I was moving to call her back and give the new address (so no more hiccups occur). I didn't bother to do that since the USPS Mail forwarding system takes care of that.

30 days+, no refund recieved. I called and left a message telling of my new address, no reply. I even emailed them this past monday, no reply, no response. NO THING at all. I followed all of the instructions (including writing in LARGE lettering on the outside of the box "50% x 2" to signify that I was asking for both of my kits to be refunded).

Since I have been more than fair and patient with Tiny Details, a complaint with their Better business Bureau got filed 2 days ago. I hope it was just a clerical error or my file got misplaced, because I don't like raising a stink like this over a lost/delayed/unjustly denied refund. It's the principle of the ordeal, not the money that's got the tip of my nose itching.

Resolution found... Tiny details is not a scam, just bogged down.

I emailed the owner today.

The reason why there was a delay was

1. Thie Email system has malfunctioned and a mass majority of ACTUAL mail is filtered out as SPAM.

2. They are getting slammed with 300+ orders a day due to the bad economy.

Also, He understood my concern and sent the refund back through my debit card and to make amends offered me a new, and simpler kit for free.

I apologize for raising a fuss over $50.

so all is good... also again TINY DETAILS IS NOT A SCAM!!!

resolution found... Tiny Details is NOT A SCAM after all!!!!

AUTHOR: Jeremy - (U.S.A.)

I emailed Mr. Buchan today. He understood the concern and apologized.

The reason why my Emails went unawnsered is their ISP went strange and began to block out messages that were NOT SPAM.

The reason for the calls being ignored was not because i was upset. due to the bad economy (people losing their jobs and such) , they are getting slammed with at least 300+ orders and new assemblers a DAY. He explained that there is a training delay (which I understand because I used to be a CSR for a car company [until I quit] and it takes a while for new employees to become comfortable with the job).

He also explained that the CSR just quit smoking so that explains why she was a wee bit cranky.

To make amends, He offered a free book kit at no charge when I wanted to start a new project (I truthfully told him that I couldn't start a new one for at least 2 weeks (new job is picking up). Of which in time I will ask for it and complete it.

So my initial reasoning about tiny details was W-R-O-N-G! They were just understaffed and not trying to withold the refund.I apologize for jumping to conclusion and raising a stink unneccessarily.

Final resolution, refund is being sent VIA credit/debit card. Also...

Tiny Details IS NOT A SCAM!!!
