Tires Plus Charged for Work Not Performed georgia Bogart

I went to tires plus to have the following work performed at the following price points:

Full Synthetic Oil Change – 52.98 (Not completed, the oil reservoir was below 1/2 full when returned.

New Tires – 405.80 (This they actually did)

Replace bad light on back – 34.79 (Did not do)

New Battery – 179.98 (Did not do, and overpriced)

I discovered that the batter and the light had not been properly replaced, when my battery failed, and I needed to have my car jumped.  When we opened the hood, there were inches worth of corrosion covering the battery terminals, which we had to remove just to get the battery to jump.  This also was problematic because it caused me to have to cancel a client meeting to deal with.  When I complained to tires plus they apologized and said they would make it right and actually did replace the battery and then replaced the light.  When I got the car back, the trunk would not open.  So I pointed this out to them the next day.  They looked at it and eventually conclude that it was just worn and not their fault.  Mind you, I was able to open my trunk just before (I had to, to get to my jumpers to even get the car to them and things were fine and on top of that, I know they had to go into the trunk to replace the blinker light in the back.)  So, they are refusing to fix or pay for the trunk that was likely damaged.

It was also pointed out to me by someone else that the oil had not been changed because the oil reservoir is showing less than half full and if the oil change had been done it should be closer to full.  Also, the filter does not look new.  At this point, I am not going to give them a chance, nor should I, given the damage to my trunk.

I also wanted to point out that they made recommendations that didn’t even need to be done which I declined and now I am glad I did.  They wanted to charge me 35.98 for new windshield wipers when the old ones work fine. They also said that the Front Right Half Shaft needed to be replaced for 300.39 but I had someone else look at it and they couldn’t find a problem. 

I find it concerning that they returned me a car with repairs that were not done and still have yet to complete the promised repairs and the only compensation is a free oil change which I can’t trust them with.  Moreover, they broke my trunk which I am now left with the bill to fix. 

I have done thousands of dollars’ worth of business with you guys, but never will again after my recent experience.  Each visit just caused something new.  Here’s what I know:

I paid $179.98 for a new battery.  I was charged but the old battery was left in there.  After I complained and brought the car back they did give me a new battery, but I didn’t realize the problem until I was stranded on the road and someone pointed out all the corrosion on the old battery.

I paid 34.79 to have a lamp replaced on the back, that never got done initially, but I was charged and my car was released, when I complained and pointed it out they eventually did this.

On the follow-up repair, when I received my car back they told me everything was fine, but my trunk would not open.  I was then told that it wasn’t their fault but that it was just a worn-out part.  It broke while in your care and I was able to access my trunk before. They told me that to open it would take two people and it would take two people to open it.  Right now, I can’t believe the trunk just broke while in your care because of a worn-out part. 

And the final thing, I discovered this later, but I paid $52.98 for a full synthetic oil change.  My oil reservoir is not full and according to my friend it does not look to be changed.  Honestly, I thought about asking you to make it right, but given the problems I am having and after my trunk being broken I really don’t want your mechanics touching my car.

Please note, I will never do business with your company going forward and will be sure to let people know not to do business with you.

Also, they recommended that I get the front right half shaft fixed for 300.39, but I had someone else look at it, and they could not figure out what they were talking about.  Fortunately, I declined this unnecessary work that probably would have not been completed to begin with.

And you recommended 35.98 windshield wipers to be replaced, but the current ones work fine. Which I declined.
