When I went to the Together Dating Service office I was sold a huge bill of goods! The sales person was extremely upbeat and told me that she met her husband through together. After gathering my information, the sales person left the room to check available matches for me.

When she came back she said in a very enthusiastic voice 'There'll be no problem matching you! You have great qualities that lots of men your age are looking for. We have 100's of matches for you! etc, on and on about how great Together is at finding matches for me.

She showed me a photo album of full of couples who met through Together and got married. She had a definite tone of voice about finding me the right match! She even said we will keep send you referrals and you will met the right man from among the 13 referrals.

At first, I got several referrals in the first few months and then the time between referals got longer and longer to the point that the well is dry!

I called many times to complain that I feel that I have been put aside now. In some cases they would send me a referral that did not fit my requirements just to send me a referrals. I said I wanted men under 60 years old. They sent a man who was 62! just to keep me quite.

My last referral was July 06. It is now May 07, almost a full year later. I called today and was told that there just aren't any matches for me right now and they can't force men to date me! They told me to be patient!
I am beyond 'patient'! I am angry that I was mislead to believe the referrals would just flow to me one after the other until I meet the right man!

I said I want my money back. The person was very angry and annoyed with me for feeling so frustrated and wanting what was PROMISED to me!

A complaint, and a sales pitch, for Together......?

AUTHOR: Thomas - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 18, 2007

My wife used to sell for a computer dating firm more than 35 years ago. Her first step was to get the prospect to complete a "psych profile test" BEFORE the prospect could "join".

Some prospects had real issues that caused them to score outside the acceptable test result ranges, and consequently these people were talked OUT of joining.... for the simple reason that they would cause "problems".

Then there were the 50+ year-old men who only wanted to meet women who were (still) virgins. They wanted a "girl" not a "woman".

And what is wrong with men older than 60? We have learned to be realistic as we apply patience and humor when dealing with others, and we stop to think. and often, we have lots of assets. Not to mention a bottle of those pale yellow teardrop-shaped 'Le Weekender' pills to help us keep our wives smiling.

I am also a member of Together . . .

AUTHOR: Kitty - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 18, 2007

I was really surprised when I went online and found such unpleasant things about Together. I joined several years ago after my brother met his wife through Together. She was a wonderful woman and we welcomed her with open arms into our family. When I went to Together I was initially put off by the price . . . I couldn't believe my brother had invested so much into the service. But the counselor and my brother both assured me it would be an excellent investment, who would invest so much time and money unless they were serious about meeting the right person? Boy were they right. I joined and within 18 months I met Douglas. Douglas and I got married last September and we about to celebrate our one year anniversary. Since then several other family members of mine as well as friends have joined Together and are thrilled with results they are getting.

People who come on here to bad mouth Together are robbing people of the opportunity to try it themselves and see for themselves how life changing this is. I am not sure why this has not worked for the people on here, but it certainly worked for my brother, my friends, and myself. If someone is contemplating joining Together, they should not go off of what the people on here are saying . . . it's working for tons of people they are just so busy being in love they do not have time to go online and spread the good news. I am sorry to hear these people are not happy with Together, but based on my experiences with my brother, my three friends, and myself I can attest to what a great service Together is and how life changing it can be. Good Luck to anyone thinking of joining, I can not stress to you how valuable it would be for you to meet with them at Together and not go off of these people's opinions.
