OK. about the 7year/100,000-mile Limited Powertrain Warranty

I ask to the sales man, the manager if the 7 years/100,000 miles warranty will start at the vehicle purchase date and miles and they all said "yes" my big surprise was when I receive a letter from Toyota with 2 ID cards with the effective warranty date from 2009 instead 2013 and the expiration date on 2016 instead 2020 so the vehicle I purchased is a used 2009 with about 47,000 miles so that mean I have only about 3 years or 53,000 miles warranty.

So do not believe the 7 years 100,000 miles warranty is not real for a used car because they will start the warranty in the manufacture date of the vehicle not when you purchase the vehicle.

Gus,

AUTHOR: Karl - ()

POSTED: Friday, March 15, 2013

It appears that some of the same information that was faxed to the CEO of Toyota on April 20, 2005 is also available at this website in the consumer comments section at another Ripoff Report.

Just type 284134 at this site and scroll down to Consumer Comment #1 at Ripoff Report #284134 in order to read it. That consumer comment was posted on November 13, 2007.

Fact: Ten months after that consumer comment was posted at this website, the stock market crashed and Lehman Brothers collapsed. The Dow Jones lost a record 777 points on September 29, 2008, and the financial system in the USA collapsed. Several large corporations were also on the verge of collapsing, including General Motors, Chrysler, AIG, Freddie Mac, and Fannie Mae. The nine largest publicly held banks in America also received $120 Billion in TARP money from the Treasury Secretary in one day.

You can 'Google' this- FRONTLINE: INSIDE THE MELTDOWN, and watch that documentary on the web for proof.

P.S. Don't forget to stay at this site and type in- STOP RUNNING RIPOFF, and scroll down to Consumer Comment #3 at Ripoff Report #269041, entitled "Blame it on a Lawyer" and read it.

Have a great day, and make sure to spread your Ripoff Report all over the web at sites like Twitter and Facebook!

Easy to tell..........

It's real easy to know when a car salesman is lying......every time their lips move!   P.S....To think you get a factory new car warranty on a USED vehicle is a total tard move. My guess is the salesman saw you as an easy mark.

Did you know that the CEO of Toyota Corporation was sent a fax on April 20, 2005, that contains some of the same information that is available at this website?

Just stay at this site and type in- STOP RUNNING RIPOFF, and click on Ripoff Report #269041 and scroll down to Consumer Comment #3, entitled "Blame it on a Lawyer" in order to read it.

Some of the same information contained in that fax starts at paragraph #4 and continues into paragraph #5.

Fact: Three years and five months after that fax was successfully sent to Toyota's Corporate headquarters in Torrance, California, the stock market crashed and the financial system in the USA collapsed. On September 29, 2008, the Dow Jones lost a record 777 points and the American people were forced to bail-out the publicly held banking system and several large Wall Street corporations with hundreds of billions of dollars in taxpayer's money from the TARP.

You can 'Google' this- FRONTLINE: INSIDE THE MELTDOWN, and watch that documentary on the web for proof.

Good luck to you, and make sure to spread your Ripoff Report all over the web at sites like Twitter and Facebook every day!

If you recently purchased this extended warranty, you can cancel it today and get a refund.

Simply walk into the Toyota dealership and tell them that you want to cancel your extended warranty now. Make sure that you get it in writing that the extended warranty was canceled and have the finance manager at the dealership provide you with copies of the paperwork or the e-mail that proves it was canceled.

*Do not trust what they say. Only trust what you get in writing which will confirm that the extended warranty was canceled. Make sure that the check is made out to you and not to the dealership. Also get the phone number to the people who will be mailing the check and keep following up. Do not delay!

Purchasing an extended warranty is a waste of money, in my opinion. Keep in mind, if the extended warranty was put into your financing, then you are also paying interest on that warranty.

Good luck, and make sure to spread your Ripoff Report all over the web at sites like Twitter and Facebook.

MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY

AUTHOR: Bubba Lee - (Canada)

POSTED: Monday, February 11, 2013

Classic case

Regardless of what the scam dealer told you:

The warranty on a vehicle sold starts on the original "In Service Date"

That term is important. The car can be a demonstrator or driven for the purpose of changing dealerships up to about 6,000 miles or 10,000 KM and still be considered new.

Over that mileage it can happen that dealer does not declare the vehicle as a long term demo and assign an in service date, then the build date is used.

If the car is sold as used and it was properly sold to a customer the warranty started when the original customer signed the purchase paper work.

So as far as Toyota is concerned thats the warranty and warranty date. Legally they are covered.

As far as the dealer, I wish you luck.
