Trilegiant Great Fun Unauthorized credit card charges, took three calls to get them to stop Norwalk Connecticut

While booking a motel in Omaha, NE I was asked if I was interested in a discount for joining up; I said no several times but they just wouldn't let go and eventually I said yes only because they said I could cancel within 30 days at no charge.

Their package arrived in the mail, I called the toll-free number and canceled. Then my credit card statement showed they'd taken money in spite of this.

I called and canceled again using their automated system. Another statement showed they'd taken two payments of $11 each. My wife called them and had to speak to several people and make threats of legal action - and during the call one of the people she spoke to had the incredible nerve to give her a sales pitch trying to persuade her to keep the membership.

They say they have now canceled the account and promised to return our money. We'll see...
