TruGreen is a terrible company! They lie and make all kinds of promises to get your business then treat you like crap! The service tech ignore specific instructions on the work orders. Mine was told to ring my bell before starting an application, he didn't. I contacted the company to report this and they assured me it would never happen again, it did!
My son happened to see him one time and told me. In the two or three minutes it took to slip on clothes and go to the door he was done and in his truck driving away!
Don't get me started on the terrible, rude and unprofessional customer service! They burned the heck out of my grass and then made all kinds of excuses! They tried to tell me it was worms and wanted to doanother type of application but they were not sure it would fix the problem. Why would I pay for something they might or might not work??
Frustrated I canceled my service and they agreed to reverse my last bill. Several months later I was still getting the bill. I called each month I got a bill and was told, "don't worry about it we will take care of it." Well today I got a notice from a collection agency! Mad doesn't begin to describe how I felt when I opened the collection notice.
I called the collection agency and they connected me to TruGreen. The woman that answer the phone was rude and went so far as to call me, "partner!" Well I then find out that the previous manager and service rep manager are no longer employed there. The new manager gets on the phone and clearly isn't interested in what I have to say. He wants to come out and view my lawn. FOR WHAT???? These incidents happened several months ago. Did they really think I left my lawn the hot mess they made it!
Long story short the new management doesn't feel they should have to honor an agreement that was made by the previous management. All I can say is DON'T USE TRUGREEN SERVICES!!!!
You will most likely be just as disappointed and frustrated as I am right now.

The Ellenwood Branch is run by a man named Gary. He got "promoted" because he was accused of sexual harrassment. Although he was cleared of these charges and they were unfound, he has still ran this branch into the ground. First off, he encouraged to original branch manager to steal from previous customers. This I can prove, that manager was demoted and then brought back to the same branch as sales manager. He stole from churches and schools. People and businesses who had "credit balances," simply found those balances gone. Gary then ran off all the people who tried to correct the "credit balance" incident. Gary got paid for hitting his production numbers from stealing from churches and schools.
A few management persons at Trugreen questioned this- and they were fired. I decided to quit. Back in 2007 they needed to hit there budget number so this man decided that they needed to pull pre-emergent from there mix. Pre-emergent is the most costly product put on your lawn. It is the only product they put on your lawn to prevent crabgrass. So here is a thief, pulling the most important product they can put on your lawn off the shelf to save money. Then in mid June, he had his sales staff call them and sell them "grassy weed control." If they would have done the right thing, and put down pre-emergent, they would not have grassy weeds!!!
Other important facts to remember about this Ellenwood Ga branch. They fired a guy for having cancer (classy bunch.) Anyone who argues with them, gets sent to collections. A technition who treated lawns for 18 months, not only had several warrants- he didn't have a drivers licsence. I could go on for hours, but why?
