Tuscan Readers Services ripoff Dishonest fraudulent sales misrepresentation clean cut scam artists Buford Georgia

I was working on my lawn when two young white males approached me. They were clean cut, casually dressed. The one was the leader and pushed the sales while the other acted as a 'yes man' to event.

The talker stated he was related to such and such around the corner and he was selling magazine subscriptions to send his college class to London to work for the BBC.

He asked if I would be interested in purchasing magazine subscriptions, but since most people don't need them, I could send them overseas to the soldiers and to children in the local hospital. He kept apologizing and was very congenial. He stated I needed to buy 10 units to help his class.

I asked him how much a unit was and he said $40. I said I would buy one, and he offered to mow by grass and wash my car if I would buy two. I said I would buy two based on his enthusiasm. I wrote a check and he gave me a receipt. He then asked me if the guy next door was OK and I said he was friendly and wished them good luck.

As I was getting back to may yard work, it occured to me that the neighbors near me didn't have any children his age and these two DID NOT go next door but kept walking.

I started getting suspicious and went inside to search Google, the minute I saw I was ripped off I got in my car to find them. It took about 10 minutes but they were walking down a driveway of an old ladies house. I told them from the car that I needed my check back. He refused, he then said he would if I gave him the receipt, which I did not have.

I got out of my car and and stuck something in his chest that was not my finger. That got my check back. The other threatened to call the police because of my actions. I said fine, I'd be down the street.

My wife informed me that she saw them running down the street a few minutes later in the opposite direction.
