ups-sherman,texas accepted my two items (2 van doors) for shipment to ohio, the next day ups delivered the doors to my house in texas smashed,driver said they could not deliver because they damaged the doors and ups would pay for damage and refund the $86.00 shipping for each door, over 2-years no refund or comp. nothing but rip-off

the items (van doors) were box and accepted by ups for shipping. what does ups do accept items , take my money , smash my doors with a forklift, and then say sorry the item was not packed properly, it would take a steel crate to stop forklift forks from going through, cause they went right through my van doors,as far as calling your 800 numbers i've called till i'm blue in the face, nothing but run-around, so i'd call your company pretty much nothing but a rip-off!

Just a couple of questions. Were the doors shipped in a box. If not, you must look in to the ups shipping guidelines. According to our shipping policy and ups terms of service on ups.com items that are not shipping in a box will not be covered for damage. The item must be in a new or like new box, 4 inches of packing material around all sides, To/From address label inside the box and 2inch packaging tape around all edges and seams on the box, if you item did not meet these guidelines then we will not cover the damage. T
hese guidlines are also provided to you gladly by calling 1-800-PICK-UPS (742-5877) Any customer service agent that you get in our shipping department you gladly have provided this information to you when you call. All our packages are machine sorted and required to foloow these guidlines to be covered.
