Vacation Smart, International Like a bad penny that won't go away Torrance, CO California

We got sucked into attending a "presentation" in Colorado Springs.  Afterward, a salesman who identified himself as a psychologist sat down with us and gave us a pitch that went on for way too long.  He accused me, essentially, of being a wuss because I didn't take care of my wife's "travel needs"  (it was obvious which of us wanted to "join" their "club".  He said the deal would go away unless we signed right there and then.  

We made the mistake of signing and paying a $2000 fee.  They promised my wife free airfare for a visit to her sister, which she received, eventually.  But, recognizing that we had been subjected to a high pressure treatment, I refused to renew our membership (at an annual fee) and thought I had heard the last of them.  However, 3 years later, we're now getting nasty phone calls from a salesman saying that we "owe them" the annual fee and "it isn't going away".  He was agressive and obnoxious--just the attitude you'd expect from a legitimate travel agent??

My advice to you is to be smart and don't have anything to do with "Vacation Smart", unless you enjoy sparring with high pressure salesmen who'll try to suck you dry.
