I pulled out my brand new tags attatched underwear i purchased at the cameron village location of victorias secret to find..STAINED USED UNDERWEAR. I called and complained then came in to return it and the MANAGER was hardly apologetic nor did she act as though that was a shocking thing. First off..shouldnt that be a health hazard?
I am disgusted at this point and not sure what my next step will be.

Last week one of the major TV channels, either abc or cbs did an expose about this very subject. They puchased underwear from 10 major stores.  If I remember correctly, of the 10, there were 3 that allowed them to return the items. Victoria's secret and macy's were the 2 major ones. The TV channel REMOVED the sales tags YET the 3 STILL allowed them to return the items. The channel marked the underwear with 2 dots on the MFG's tags and went back later and found the items WITH NEW TAGS, back on the shelves and racks for resale. Making matters WORSE, the channel STAINED some of the items with olive oil, yet the companies still accepted them back and attempted to resale them. When the corporate offices were contacted, they said that sales associates needed "retraining" in return policies. Yeah right. The TV channel's suggestion was to make sure and wash everything before wearing.

You Purchased These Items Without Noticing This?

First, did you not look at the items before you purchased them???  If the stain was obvious when you "pulled out my brand new tags attached underwear," shouldn't the stain have been obvious when you purchased them?

Second, and I have no clue, as I am male and don't shop at Victoria's Secret, but I would guess, unfortunately, that this may be an occurrence that has probably happened before.  I am sure someone wore the panties and returned them.  Probably along with some other stuff as well.  The sales associate returning the items probably just saw that they had tags on them and didn't bother inspecting them completely.

Is this disgusting?  Yes.  Is it a Ripoff?  Can't tell, as you don't mention whether or not the "MANAGER" let you return the items.  Sounds like the customer service could have been a little better, but I don't know what your "hardly apologetic" means.

In any case, let this serve as a reminder to actually inspect the items you purchase.
