Basically i received a call from VIP Readers Service in December. From what i understood and what the recording said was that i could call to STOP or make Changes to my order and subscription. I received a bill for 39.99 from them and i called customer service to cancel the rest of the subscription. The rep said that i cannot cancel and that i was basically obligated to pay 39.99 for the duration of the subscription which is 24 months. (total of $960)...I told her to let me speak to a supervisor and was very uncooperative on having me talk to sumone above her with authority. After a 10 minute argument she finally put me on hold and transfered me to a supervisor which originally she said that she could not do that, which was a lie. I finally got in touch with a supervisor (Shelly Betarie) and she let me hear the recording when i actually purchased it. When i was aggreeing to the contract there was never a point to where it says that i cannot cancel or obligated that i could not stop the subscription. After reviewing the recording, the agent was basically telling me what to say because i was at work and doing other things at the time. The recording also clearly says that if i would like to STop or make Changes then call customer service at 1-888-369-7323. Im not paying that much money for something i dont even read, especially if its 24 months. SUmone please help me get this canceled!
