My father purchased this home security with APEX first. He was 78 and Mom 79. Mom passed in 10-10-10 and Dad 2-1-11. The day before he passed away he was at home and I had Good Shepard Hospice there with us. The Alarm went off, it was defeaning, screccting, pounding, we could not figure out out to turn it OFF. I stepped outside the home to call the company as I could NOT hear. Still was loud outside as well. I told them to shut down ASAP, "my father is dying in his room!!!!" They told me to go in and push buttons, on the unit with them on line. I was put on hold and moved around. I kept telling them just shut it off, I can not even think.  I got histerical and cried.  Was ready to get a baseball bat. Finally they shut it down from somewhere?  10 min later All over Again!  I was furious! I got a splitting migraine headache and the Hospice group were trying to keep us all calm. I never ever get headaches! I finally ripped it from wall!

The next few hours were the worst as my father was dying.

With a long list of things to address ASAP, did not get around to VIVINT till 3-8-11. I tried like hell to cancell. They used every contract trick in the book, and made me feel vulnerable. As if I was not already>  Many Companies and people were at me. Hard to make decisions under grief and duress. They talked me into keeping it, at least till I sold the home.

Hence, my Problem!  I moved out in August of 2011. The home was empty and I had a Real Estate Agent coming in almost daily. Again I had called 7-27-11 to Cancell. After much discussion they cut me a deal and made me feel guilty. Told me "9 times out of 10 the new owners will pick up there service". The Agent disconnected the unit and told buyers about the VIVINT service as a plus. I was still paying $44.99 auto deduct from a house account.

The Condo at 18 Landesdowne Drive, Wichita KS, 67220  finally sold on March 2, 2012.  As I moved out of state to CA. Could not get a straight answer about the new owners acquiring their service. I called VIVINT on March 3, to see if owners picked up contract. They would have to reasearch, of course.  Now, I have called several times, "All agents are busy, thank you, stay on the line and the next available agent will be with you shortly OR press 1 to leave a Voice mail" After I left 1st message, no longer able to leave a message or speak to an agent.  

Went on-line and saw many others with similar issues.  Unfortunately I do not have the paperwork as I left it with the Real Estate Agents Larry Parke 316-207-3399 and Cleve 316-993-6365.

I am now prepared to start a lawsuit, going back to when my Father died 2/2011. I have been in a long state of greif and coming back to my sences.  I'm sure I am not the only one who has been abused  and used in such a manner. It is extremely sad situation and needs to be addressed and VIVINT pay the Piper. Im sick of trying to be nice. Please help me. Tried to look them up on BBB KS as well. I am trying to get on with my life and want to finish this chapter so I can move on.  Thank You in Advance!
