I purchased a 70 inch TV two years ago. The screen went black. I looked up them on the internet and saw they have a recall for their 70 inch TVs due to this problem. On their web site they claim they will replace the defective TVs with a new TV. When I contacted the company they ask for a proof of purchase. I told them after two years I cannot find my receipt. So without that they will do nothing. Its ridiculous as they know by the model number etc that it is their tv. I paid over $1,600 for this TV and not they wont do anything about it even knowing that they have this problem with their large screen TV. I will never buy another Vizio product and if a class action suit is filled, I will surely join.

While there is a recall the REAL issue is that YOU dont keep important reciepts!! I hate to say this but for once can YOU try and NOT act so self entitled and TRY and put yourself in THIER place. Are THEY supposed to honor ANY claim? YOU could have STOLEN the TV. YOU could have purchased it at a yard sale. There are MANY ways YOU could have recieved the TV and NOT be the original owner. Without PROOF OF PURCHASE they MUST assume that YOU recieved the TV other then being the original owner. Which would invalidate the recall!!!! All THEY are asking is proof of purchase and THAT IS ALL!!! Dont be a little d****e all because YOU threw away an important piece of paperwork. THAT IS ON YOU!!! YOUR FAILURE NOT THIERS!!!! Vizio is more then willing to assist YOU provided YOU can show that YOU did in fact purchase the TV in question. YOU have NOT been ripped off and YOU shame yourself!! Even I can see YOUR POST for what it is. A TANTRUM!!!! BOOHOO!!! THEY WONT HELP ME!!! Get over it and move on. I personally dont care one way or the other who YOU use to purchase another TV. I dont care what brand. I DO care however when someone truly abuses the system and THAT is what YOU have done.
