I urge anyone who reads this not to use Vonage for there telephone broadband service. I used the phone service for four years and was happy with the phone service. The company talked me into prepaying for a year in advance. My cable company just offered me a better deal that lowered my bill with them, so I cancelled my service with Vonage. Vonage told me that they were keeping the money for the prepaid service, and then charged my bank account for more money after the service was cancelled. They do not tell customers that they will never get their money back if they prepay. They do not tell customers that they will continue to make up charges to continue charging their bank account after they cancel service. They literally have set up their business to steal from consumers and are freely allowed to do it without consequences.

People respond to me with such hatred
AUTHOR: Charles - (USA)
SUBMITTED: Thursday, January 14, 2010
They, are so set on about my spelling & grammar. I, try to explain my point the best way I can. But, people rather ridiculed me about my spelling & typing. Its', just a way to embarrass me. To, try to discredit my complaint.
If, I have a complaint people zero In on me with personal insult, & down right "HATRED" against me. Because, I have reported what scum landlords, have done & bad experience's with other businesses.
People, respond to me with such hatred calling me a "LIAR". Posting, lies about me In other peoples' complaints' telling me to go away. Then, to make matters worse other strangers' decide to join In harassing with such hatred.
That, Is because they listened to the other garbage lies people has said about me. Its, like people don't wont us to get justice when businesses harm us. Or, get wrongfully terminated.
No, matter how many times people try to "DESTROY" my life or try to "VIOLATE" my civil rights. I, always come out "AHEAD".
There, will always be people employers co-workers, out to "DESTROY" peoples lives who are trying to make a living. "ITS NOT RIGHT" for people, to try to "RUIN" your life.
Just, because they don't like you!.

Cancellation Charge
AUTHOR: ConcernedConsumer - (United States of America)
SUBMITTED: Thursday, January 14, 2010
When a consumer signs up for Vonage phone service, they are not told of the cancellation charge. I looked through my emails and all of the paperwork, and no where was I ever told about the cancellation charge. Until I actually canceled the service, was I informed I would be charged. The wording of their cancelation policy is completely misleading and difficult to read. I had to read it a few times in order to even understand what their policy was. If I was told in the beginning that I would be charged the fee, I would have waited until I was legally able to cancel without being charged the fee before I terminated the service.
I filed a complaint with the BBB against Vonage for using misleading and confusing verbage on their website and for not informing their customers about their policies upfront.
I am very glad to be rid of Vonage, and I know that I am not the only one.

Please enlighten me. Where, in my post, were sentence and grammatical errors? My writing was meant to mock your style. You have huge gaps inbetween words and it makes it extremely hard to take any of your reponses seriously. You write like an ignorant 2nd grader.

There was nothing wrong with my grammer. I spot a few grammer & sentence writing errors In the insulters writing.
They are not perfect In there sentence, writing either. So they shouldn't judge others.
But they do well sense, they judge others. They will get judged worse.

Don't listen to the vonage defenders
AUTHOR: Charles - (USA)

Don't listen to the vonage defenders. And please god forbid do not give, them your debit or checking account information. Vonage scans these complaints, & they send employees to attack the poster.
People really hate me on this site, they call me all sorts of names. Just just how immature they are even the vonage scum, employees. They do everything they can to try to discredit me.
They call me a coward, they try to slander me. And getting people against me, then strangers start to me.
Vonage sends their thugs, to personally attack people. When will people quit singing up for vonage crappy service.
Also vonage employees are hard of hearing, they need some hearing aids. Because they try to play the, I can't hear you game, & disconnect you.
Vonage needs to give their employees, some hearing aids. Or get new equipment.

Wrong

They do tell their customers. Its in the terms of service that you agreed to when you signed up for service.
" 8.9 No Credit Allowances or Refunds for Prepaid Service Plan Customers.
Subject to our money back guarantee and law, we will neither credit nor
refund any service fees or any other amounts you pay for any prepaid
service plans. "
" 8.7 Disconnection Fee (Does Not Apply to Business Plus Customers).
You will be charged a disconnection fee of $39.99 per voice line if
your service is disconnected, subject to state and local laws. However,
the disconnection fee may be waived according to the following:
1) If your subscription date is on or before January 31, 2007 and your
service is disconnected after 1 year following your subscription date,
the disconnection fee is waived; or
2) If your subscription date is on or between February 1, 2007 and
before May 29, 2009, and your service is disconnected after 2 years
following your subscription date, the disconnection fee is waived; or
3) If your subscription date is on or after May 29, 2009, and your
service is disconnected after 1 year following your subscription date,
the disconnection fee is waived. "
So yes, they do inform you that there is a cancellation fee. Yes, they do inform you that the prepaid money is gone. Its all in black and white in their terms of service.
