In Oct., 2016, 4 African American males, aged teenage to mid-twenties, were recorded observing customers in the vision area and obviously without need of vision service or products. One of the youngest was caught on camera following me all over the store, and finally reaching over my shoulder to steal my wallet when I bent down to a bottom shelf. I discovered it missing at the checkout register. I got no assist from employees. I demanded to see a manager. I got an assistant, barely English-speaking. I called police, who viewed the film and took for investigation.

WalMart would not allow me to see their camera. Their manager also told police I had accused their cashier of the theft! Such was the lack of any communication from WalMart! The obvious purpose of these men in the store was totally accepted by all employees - after all, they were only robbing customers personal property and not their shelves! This practice goes on apparently, as a colleague later recorded with his phone. WalMart doesn’t care. Where is any security?

I just discovered WalMart doesn’t respond - but The Hoover Police worked with me

 Of course I complained to WalMart officially after it happened, and got no response. I just discovered this venue when I submitted here. I did go online with the complaint, and got some similar stories.

The police of course described to me what occurred, and posted the thief’s photo on their website in hopes of identification. The Hoover detective told me they handle such incidences constantly and don’t have much luck in identifications.

You wait 2 YEARS before you file this report!! What did the police say when you called them?? HOW do you know these individuals stole your wallet? Did you watch them do it? I call bulls***
