Walmart.com Makes promise prior to sale; does not follow through on promise after sale Nationwide

 Purchased a product on-line through Walmart.com several days ago. After committing to the purchase; I received an email showing what I purchased, when, payment information, etc. Later, I received another email confirming a delivery date of 3/13/15. This was not an "estimated" delivery date or a "plus/minus" delivery date; it was a "confirmed" delivery date! This was important to the sale since I had a wedding to attend the afternoon of the 14th and this was my present to the bride and groom.

Today is the morning of the 14th, and still no package; so, I telephoned Walmart. Going to the long and short of it, Walmart informed me it wouldn't be delivered until 3/15/15-----THE DAY AFTER THE WEDDING!!!!! Walmart apologized, gave me a c**k-n-bull story how they arent responsible for Fedex and USPS, then eventually refunded 20% of the purchase price to my card; however, none of that covers the fact that they gave a "definate" delivery date which was relied upon. I guess my advise to others is NOT to put your faith in a Walmart commitment; and what good is it to deal with a business if their word is not reliable?
