I Purchased a sofa set from Value City Furniture in Feb of 2006, On May of 2006 I called into the Stain safe complaint hotline in regards to rip(tear) on the sofa , the company took my info and stated that I would receive a call back regarding my claim. 3days later I called stain safe back with another claim in regards to stains on the sofa. Again I was told that I would receive a call in regards to the stain.

A few days later I was contacted by (Servpro) a vendor at the time for stain safe. They confirmed a set date and time to come out to my home to clean the sofa. Once Servpro made it out to my home, they began cleaning the sofa and were unable to remove some of the satins. Servpro informed me that they were unaware of the urine stain and did not have the proper solution to remove the stain. I questioned servpro about the torn sofa side; they stated that they did not do stitching. Servpro informed me at that time that the y would return to the home to re clean the sofa with the proper solution. They also said they would be in contact with Stain safe in regards to the issue.

3 days or so went by I made an attempt to contact stain safe again and the line was busy almost all times of the day. When I finally got in contact with a Representative with Stain safe Informed them that someone was already out to my home and they stated that that would come back to finish the job, I got the same story, I would be contacted back in regards to the issue. I never got a call back from Stain safe, so in June of 2006 I contacted Servpro, The Vendor that came out to clean my Furniture, I spoke with Sue she informed me that they no longer provide services for stain safe, I told her that some one was to return to my home to finish there first job, she apologized and stated that they would not return because there no longer servicing stain safe customers.

At this time I upset and frustrated with the whole issue, I contacted Value City educating them of the situation, I was told that there was nothing they could do and I would need to take the issue up with Stain safe. I got my Stain safe brochure out and noticed there was an e mail address located on it. I reviewed the website, they had a section for complaint, I clicked on it and nothing, there site did not even work. I found there corporate office I made an attempt to contact someone in person and got answer machines, I left a message and no one never called me back.

In August of 2006, I received a collection letter from Servpro for 95.00. I no longer made an attempt to call Value City I went directly to the front desk and demanded to speak with a supervisor. They reviewed my purchase plan and stated that Stain safe should have gotten the bill because I was covered. Again there is nothing we can do Miss Hill, you will need to contact Stain safe, I told Value City that they sold be the services and should be somewhat responsible for the lies and filthy service.

I called Servpro again on 8/15/2006 again and spoke with Sue; I told her that I got the bill for services that were preformed back in May. She began telling me that they no longer did Business with Stain safe because they were not paying there bills. She told me that they were having trouble staying in contact with them as well. She educated me to file a complaint. I first attempted to file a complaint with the BBB back in August of 2006; unfortunately they were not available online back then. I made numerous attempts to contact them, but during my work secxdual and there business hours I was unsuccessful. The bbb for Florida closes at 4pm Eastern and I am Central Standard Time. I continued to call stain safe, asking to speak with a supervisor. I told the same story over and over again. There Supervisors or so unprofessional, I was hung up on, put on hold for hours and was getting no were.

I went back to stain safe web site sometime in September of 2006 and there web site was still unable to process a complaint online. I do have a life out side of spending weeks and months on the phone trying to make contact with stain safe. I gave birth to my daughter on 12/16/2006 and did not make another attempt to contact stain safe until May of 2007.

Once I regained my strength and had a little time on my hand to sit down and try to get some type of response out of Value city or stain safe, I began to seek an outcome. I contact Stain safe corporate office May of 2006, in a general mail box and no one ever returned my call. I went to Value city on 6/8/2007, I spoke with a store manager I told him about the service and dissatisfaction that I had with stain safe.

I harassed Value city so much that they finally agreed to come out and repair the sofa's rip. Value city showed up to my home on 6/29/07 and made those repairs. A few weeks prior to them showing up, I contacted stain safe, I spoke with a representative a male, I told him everything that was going on, I told him that I have spent 1year going through this crap with stain safe. I was promised that the issue would be resolved, and I am still waiting.

When I learned that you could file a complaint online with the BBB for different state, I hoped right to it, because I feel I have been cheated, lied to and screwed over. I don't think is nothing more I can do. It wasn't listed in my warrantee that I would need to call a million and one times to get service, nor is it fare to take some ones money and don't live up to the expectations.

This is my seconded complaint, Stain safe has already stated that the Vendor said they were unable to remove the satin, so I know servpro contacted them. Stain safe promises if we can't remove it we will replace it. I have also remained in contact with Servpro, whom informed me that stain safe only paid $62.00 of the quote that they issued for my cleaning. Stain safe is ripping of there customers and their help. Someone needs to put a stop to there unjust, I am not giving up stain safe if it takes me the whole seven years to get to the bottom, I will do just that.

I guess stain safe is waiting on me to purchase a plan ticket and fly to Florida to get some type of resolution.
