Wells Fargo Financial added insurance to my auto loan $2100 when it was already insured ,I had changed insurance companys and there was no lapse in the coverage thay added it to my loan! after fighting with them and their insurance carrier for weeks they took most of it off but refused to believe it was insurered for a portion of the time! When I made two different payments they deducted part of the payments and applied towards the insurance they put on and the balance they applied just to the interest on the loan and then charged Me late payments and recorded two late payments on My credit bureau ! all with out informing me! I found out about the late payments when I applied for a loan at My Credit Union for money to do grading on My property where My house had burned down and was turned down on the loan! Prior to this fiasco I could walk into My Credit Union and walk out withg $10,000 on a signature! My credit rating was almost 800 before My loan with Wells Fargo Finbancial and now I cant even get a loan from My own credit union! Im in the process of fighting With them to remove the derogs from my credit and refund the insurance and late fees they collected! They are so big they could care less! Their CEO made $52 million dollars last year what does he care!

WELLS FARGO RIPOFF

In response to kevin im very aware of wells fargos financials status as a lender and in dealing with them have a better idea of their inner workings! I was in finance 15 years! the reason wells fargo financial was the lender is because it is a loan Icosigned for that being said!I Did Say I wasincommunicationwith them for weeks regarding the insurance they had put onto the loan when the new truck was insured! not once in those communications did the say they were going to debit the payments being made on the loan and apply it to the insurance and the balance to the interest only! how many times have you delt with wells fargo financial
? not wells fargo bank! and their insurance carrier Balboa Insurance CO.?


Try going between the two intities to straighten out their error! all the person at the other end of the phone line can see is what is on their computer its as if they are robots and cant think for them selves! finally yesterday i spoke with a woman in south dakota about this and she didnt see the reason for the late payments being recorded im on my way right now to wells financial in san marcos calif to pick up a copy of the payment history and why they did what they did! and they absolutely did not inform me that they were recording derogs on my credit! i forgot to mention that the balance the put on for insurance was paid over and above the payments and were told it was being sent to them while we disputed the insurance and yes we provided proof! somewhere between the insurance company and wells there was a breakdown in communication i will keep you posted!

Hello Michael,

Although I'm not an employee of Wells Fargo Financial, I am an employee of Wells Fargo BANK. I did at one point work for Wells Fargo Financial's competition, Citifinancial. Trust me, they would not report you delinquent without informing you.

The loan officers at a Wells Fargo Financial branch have until the end of the month to collect a past due account. If the account is past due going into the next month...the branch LOSES their bonus!

When I was still with Citifinancial there were many nights we stayed 'till 9 trying to collect on delingquent accounts...and we lost our bonus anyway...Keep in mind we're talking anywhere between $200.00-$500.00 per branch employee, so trust me, the part where you said they reported you late without informing you, I find it difficult to swallow.

They would've been calling you at least 20 times a day to try to either refinance the loan, get you more money and have it off the delinquent list. Otherwise they would've been calling nonstop to collect.

You said you had an 800 credit score before you got your Wells Fargo Financial loan? You are aware that Wells Fargo Financial is a SUBPRIME lender, right?

You would've qualified for much much much better financing than Wells Fargo Financial, if you had an 800+ score.

Did you ever give them proof of the coverage?

I have been reading this site since July, when my problems with Wells Fargo started. I have had nothing but the run-around and rudeness from them. I have spent up to 3 hours on hold at a time. They outright lie and I have documented proof that they are liars.

I have an attorney, they will not contact her in any way and outright lie about that. She has faxed 4 letters to this moron Wells Fargo employee, Matthew James, because he will not answer his direct phone number or return voice mail messages. In the letter she included her office and cell phone number. He (Matthew James) then calls my husband and tells him that the reason that he is contacting him and not his attorney is that she will not return his calls.

The funny thing about that is I happen to be this attorney's secretary and answer her phone. Just one of the many lies they have told through this. I have had the attorney general helping me and Wells Fargo have outright lied to the attorney general and I have proved that also.

I just feel after dealing with Wells Fargo and reading this site that there is nothing that the average person can really do against these big companies. They do what they want and get away with it.

I just want to warn people about Wells Fargo and what a joke the company is and what rude liars that their employees are. I have 12 pages of notes of my dealings with these people and have caught them in many, many lies. They just try and cover it up with more lies. I would be typing for a whole day if I told my entire story.

One more thing, my loan did not start out with these idiots. Watch out because they could just as easily go through the back door and buy your loan and put you in the same situation.

Thank you for letting me vent.
