First off this site is fantastic.

December 15, 2006
Three weeks ago I made a payment to Wells Fago Financial for and auto loan I have providing a check #(5330) over the Phone, the same way I do every Month in which Wells Fargo Finacial provides me with a conformation # for this transaction. On December 13, 2006 I received a Phone call from these guys telling me that I'm late on my payment.

I explained to the idiot on the phone that I made a payment and provided him with the check # and confirmation # that they gave me originally in which he could not find. He proceeded to tell me that we(Wells fargo Financial) need to get this paid.

You can imagine my extreme anger at this point, not only did I ask to speak to his supervisor (and was rejected) I was also told that they do not have a dispute department (when asked) that all disputes need to be filed with the credit Bureaus which I know is a bunch of bull, I have the number but it does no good trust me, it's a faxed dispute # which I sent letters to several times regarding another matter that happened last year in October of 2005 asking them to resolve an issue with the credit bureaus and still have had no success.

So I gave in and gave the guy check # (5330-1) which does not work in the series of check numbers with wells fargo bank who I bank with, received my second confirmation # and the check cleared this time. My reason for this odd check # was for reference to what transpired three weeks back, so I can start disputing this with the executive offices of wells fargo and company.

If we allow these companies to get away with this type of business practices, then we might as well move to a country where it's common pratice to be treated unfairly...

So first things first,
1. Contact the Executive offices of Wells Fargo Bank.

If that does not work-

2. File a complaint with the OCC. The office of the Comptroller of the Currency. WWW.occ.treas.gov
these guys monitor National Banks.

I'm tired of dealing with other peoples mistakes and paying the personal credit score price for Wells Fargo Financial. I'm not waiting for this loan to be paid off, I'm going to re-write it elsewhere.

P.S. I forgot to mention another account with Wells Fargo Finnacial for a previous auto loan that has since been paid off, but was reported to my credit bureau with 3 thirty day lates after the fact... example (account closed August 2005, late Sept., Oct. and Nov. 2005) still disputing this one with the credit bureaus..

Good Luck and don't give up
