Arkansas 2000 the company made a 30 year mortgage loan to my mom who was 70 at the time. She had been ill for awhile and was on several medications including effexor. The mortgage company along with Cutrate Mobile Homes (Gerald & Charles, good Christian men as she was told) did not even survey the property (but was charged for it) the house was to go on. They told her she could afford it (which she could NOT). I tried to help with Mortgage payments and insurance for several years. In the long run I could not help any futher and she lost the house and land. Now she has no home or no credit.

The Mobile Home place even paid off some debt on her credit report and added that along with overpriced septic tank and well, and fees to fix the road to the mortgage.

I don't understand how these companies can take advantage of the elderly just trying to get buy. They have totally robbed her of her freedom and independence.
