We were in Las Vegas a few years ago and got suckered into one of westgates presentations. we were told it would only go for 90mins so we thought we would check it out. After 2 days of there false promises we purchased one week everyother year. We decided to have a family holiday the following year and stayed in our timeshare room. It was so nice we thought we had done the right thing in purchasing. We were lucky to have been in our room a few hours when there was a knock on the door. We were puzzled as to who it would be. Well it was aWestage sales person that told us she was there for anything we might need. We fell into a false sense of security and thought how nice she was. Well before our week was up she took the whole family to a room that was just beautiful and told us if we upgrade this would be the room we would stay in. As everything had gone so well this trip we thought we would go ahead and do the upgrade. Well, earlier this year we again went on holiday to Vegas and were so excited about staying in our upgraded room. As soon as we got there we were told that Hilton now owned the resort not Westgate but there were willing to honour westgate owners. When we got to our room we were disappointed to find that we were in the same original room as before. We went down stairs to let them know and they told us that Westgate tells them what room we own and were to put us. This is where it all went down hill. We spent the entire week ringing Westgate to find out why we weren't in our upgraded room. On our last day we finally got someone from the Corprate office to tell us that yes we upgraded but something went wrong and our ownership was not upgraded on paper and it would be sorted out. Well we are now back in Australia and it has been 2 months and of course no-one has ever made contact with us and i have been ringing almost daily but no-one will help me and so we are now out alot of thousands of dollars. I am so dissapointed and feel so let down that people are actually aloud to rip you off and get away with it. I am desperate for help if anybody out there can help please contact me..
