On June 28th, my street was flooded. The Ford Windstar that I have finianced through WFS was a total loss. Water was up past the ashtray of the van. On the 29th, I spoke with WFS to let them know that the insurance company would be sending an adjuster out on the 30th to total the car and appraise the value of the car. The rep I spoke with that day was very nice, very understanding. All she said was to call back in a week to keep WFS updated.

On the 3rd of July, the insurance company actually called to get a conference call started with WFS to let them know they were handling the issue. What ever the insurance company doesn't cover, GAP insurance will finish off. Meaning WFS will not lose a dime of their money.

Well, they've called me every day for a car payment. EVERYDAY. The representatives calling do not read the notes, they just make the call. 4 times I went to great lengths to detail what happened and please to not call anymore about the loan as it would be paid off in full in 2 weeks. The people calling, one named Nadine, the other Donna, just to name a few, have been rude, and stated that they are going to be calling every day until they get paid and that they will be adding interest to the loan every day the money is not in their office.

They are thieves. They are rude and they get you so upset that they force you to curse at them and then use the excuse that they will not tolerate cussing and hang up on you, only to call back the next day and then debate with you how mean and nasty you are to them. They have taken what could have been beneficial to them and have made it my nightmare.

I am tired of being harrassed by them. I am tired of taking their phone calls. The question was posed to them if they wanted 512 dollars for a payment now, or 21 thousand in a week. They actually wanted 512 and wanted it in a check over the phone. What morons! Anyone suing these people, please let me know. I have told them to stop calling and they said they can call when every they want to and WILL call every day. The next time I see their name on Caller ID; it is on.

Elaine,

thank you for your thoughts. I'm not sure the call is computer generated. Most of the reps have admitted they just refused to read the notes, others have said we read them, we don't care, we want our payment. The insurance company already spoke with them. The case should have been closed and to my knowledge, once we report the incident, interest should not continue to accrue once all the information and claims numbers were given to WFS by the insurance company. Like I said, now they are just harrassing the house.

First, understand that the calls you get are being made by a computer then put through to an hourly employee, probably getting a bonus for X number of dollars they collect. The computer doesn't read the notes before calling you, and since the computer puts the call through to a call center employee before they can read the notes, that is what is ticking you off.

Next, place all your concern in WRITING, tell them to stop calling you, give them the # to your insurance company/agent, and send it to WFS certified Mail. Wash your hands of them! If they still call, they are in violation of federal laws.

Merely yelling at them and calling names on the phone will not preserve your rights, nor will it make you feel better. Don't be mad, Amy...just fight with your brain. Brain beats computer any day!
