This company send me a simple 4/4 color print job of 1000 11x17" brochures that was missing magenta ink. CMYK printing requires all 4 colors, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. If one of those colors fails to print, the job is going to be seriously off color.
I notified them of the bad job, and instead of going back to a print sample, they wanted me to send them samples of the job they'd shipped me. I asked them to pay for the return shipping, assuming that they'd see the lousy job they did and reprint it properly. Instead I got an argument, a refusal to pay the shipping charges and later, an accusation that I didn't know what I was talking about because there's a difference between RGB color space and CMYK color space--that they'd actually found a copy of the print job and deemed it was within standard printing industry variance of 20%. (Industry standard is 10%.)
Then they told me they couldn't/wouldn't do anything about the lousy job unless I sent the whole thing back. So I did. After reporting them to my CC company and also to the BBB, they did refund my money, but not the shipping charges I incurred to send all their brochures back. They said, after sending an email stating that they would refund only if I sent the stuff back, that they wouldn't refund the shipping charges because I sent the stuff back "at my own discretion."
Is it possible that this company is so incompetent they can't even recognize when there is something radically wrong with their process? And they expect the customer to take responsibility for their mistakes.

Willy Walt has been great for 8 years

I have used Willy Walt for 8 years. I find them to be very consumer friendly. They are the only Printer i use.
I have price compared and they are better every time I have checked. Being in business I don't want to get comfortable and end up over paying over a couple of years of service.
I have recommended them to many other small business owners that I am friends with. They all swear by them. In 8 years they have only been great. Good follow through getting the job set up, best price and on time or ahead of time delivery.
Willy Walt under promises and over delivers. My Kind of Business.

We have used Willy Walt a couple times. They are fast and easy to work with. I don't know if this is new as a result of the negative review, but they do have a box to check if your print is color sensitive during the check out process. Also, if this was brought to their attention, I'm sure they would have come to a solution prior to printing. This is the only company we have used that has easy templets and sends proofs quickly.

I saw a comment on Willy Walt Printing Company from 2008 and just wanted to add my current experience.
They must have made some upgrades to their process, because here it is 2012 and they have printed 3 different projects for me and all 3 have been absolutely amazing. They printed a door hanger, tri-fold brochure and postcards, all full color. The colors are exceptional and the customer service and quality is all very much above reproach. We have used Willy Walt for both design and print services and they constantly exceed our expectations.
Anyone is capable of making a mistake with service, but we have been overwhelmingly pleased with the efforts that they have made to satisfy our account.

I disagree that Willy Walt doesn't understand printing. They helped me design and arrange a door hanger which turned out really nice (front and back) and they were the best buy.

We do not have any record of this customer. I have searched our database and find no record of a "Kasey" with an order of 11x17 brochures. We have however worked with a customer by a completely different name and home city that has complained of similar issues. We have handled that issue with the BBB and refunded the customer the FULL purchase price. The order was printed within guidelines and the refund was given in attempt to please the customer.
