"It is hot out here, can we have a bottle of water?" asked a young black couple. What are you to do? Anyone with a heart would give a thirsty person something to drink!!!

On March 7, 2008 a male and female knocked on my door selling magazines. My husband and I were not really interested in buying any magazines. But did want to help them further their education by earning money. We agreed to a two year subscription to a $$$ magazine.

I wrote out a check and handed it to the female. My husband was talking with the male and telling him how doing this type of work would never get him anywhere. But was proud to see young black people trying to further their education.

As we were wrapping up this order, the male, took our invoice and crossed out the phone number on it and wrote in another (305) 722-7451. He stated that if we had any problems we could call this number for faster service. He assured us we would receive a magazine in about six weeks but not to be worried if it took longer.

At the time I thought, WOW, what a nice guy. Well it's been months and not quite 120 days the invoice states to allow a magazine to arrive. I've tried calling both numbers and have found them to be disconnected. With faith I got on the internet and did a search for a different number and found all of these reports. So, here I am stunned how we went from a couple of people who were thirsty. To finding out my husband and I were fed a load of CRAP!!!

What a shame! Like my husband said, "A job like this will not get you anywhere!" I hope all of the people in this scam are caught and put in jail. I am contacting my local police department to file a report.

We are not alone and justice will win.
