I had an extremely frustrating and costly experience with this moving company. They initially gave us a reasonable quote for moving household goods from two locations (New York and Los Angeles) to Mexico City, as well as our car from New York to the same destination.

As soon as we had paid the initial cost quoted, the problems started. They added several thousand dollars to the bill, and without explanation kept our goods in storage in New York and Los Angeles for more than two months.

When the goods finally arrived at the Mexican border, they wanted even more money and warned that any delay caused by customs transactions would incur further costs.

The move of the automobile was equally frustrating: our car was left in storage in our garage in New York for two months AFTER we had asked WWR to pick it up. (We, of course, had to pick up the bill for the additional storage).

When everything finally arrived at the border, we were so frustrated by the delays and continuing demands for more money (in spite of the fact that we had already paid for "door to door" delivery), that we hired someone else to bring the goods to Mexico City. I went personally to pick up the car at the border and drove it to Mexico City.

I absolutely cannot undertand how this company is allowed to operate in the United States.

I also find it extremely ironic that they on their Web site are warning potential customers against so-called "low-balling" (giving initial quotes that are too low and then adding cost as they go along), as this is exactly the method they are using themselves. Their Web page in general is deceptively professional looking.

I should also add that in addition to being dishonest and incompetent, some of the employees of this company are only semi-literate in English.

Again, I am just baffled that such businesses are allowed to operate.
