Xpress Financial Services internet loan Davie Florida

 On May 1, 2013, I received a phone call from Xpress Financial Services informing me that I had been pre-qualified for a $5000.00 loan and that they had sent me an email with the loan documentation attached.

I checked my email but had not received anything and they stated that they would resend by 5PM that afternoon.

I again checked my email when I returned home at 6PM.  Still no email.  I checked on May 2, 2013 and found the email. I printed and called the number that Robert had given when I had spoken with him the day before. 855-230-9090 ext. 117.

He explained that I needed to read and sign the loan papers and fax back.  I also needed to give them a security deposit in the form of a Money Pak.  I needed to call them with the number and also fax the front and back of the Money Pak to them.

To obtain the loan of $5000.00 I needed to pay 4 months of security.  $398.00.  My loan was to be a 60 month loan with 7% interest and payments of $99.01 per month.

I proceeded to fax my paystubs, copy of my Driver's License and Social Security Card as well as the loan documentation.

I started to question the vailidity of this loan and called Robert and point blank asked him if this was a scam.  He told me to do my due diligence and that  they were a legitimate loan company.

I  did research on the web and found this website.  I contacted the Florida BBB and they did not have any information on this company even though they had requested information from Xpress Financial Services.  I contacted the Florida Office of the Attorney General and was directed to the Office of Financial Regulations.  I contacted this office and was informed that Xpress Financial Services was not licensed in the State of Florida, (a major red flag) and the fact that they had asked for funds prior to the finalization of the loan (another red flag) indicated that they were not a legitimate company doing business in good faith, let along legally.

Armed with this information, I tried calling the number given to me by Robert and got a message that this number was blocked.  I tried twice more with the same result.

I feel fortunate that I did research and had not sent money to this company.
