Yahoo Yahoo Voice Their service is garbage and over priced. Internet

Yahoo sells a voice service. The marketing information implies that for a yearly fee of $29.90 they will provide you with a unique phone number and people can then call your computer and you can talk to them through it.

Sound quality both ways is terrible first of all. Second of all you can't call ANYBODY! If you want to dial out there are extra fees. These fees are higher than my phone company charges! They are higher than VOIP companies charge!

I thought I would be able to dial out and recieve calls for the $29.90/year. I will admit that nowhere in their marketing does it claim that I will be able to dial out for the yearly fee and I should have read the fine print; just as soon as they admit that this is underhanded shitty marketing that a company as big as Yahoo should be way above.

I thought than in essence I was buying a phone or at least turning my computer into one. If I went down to WalMart and bought a phone I feel I could reasonably expect it to both dial out and recieve calls for the price. If my phone company quoted me a price for phone service I feel I could reasonably expect the charges to include both INCOMING and OUTGOING calls.

Yahoo waits to mention that there are additional fees AFTER you have spent the initial yearly subscription fee.

I have no use for their service. I learned this after I purchased it and recieved the additional information that made it useless to me and Yahoo refuses to refund my $29.90.
