Yelp.com Yelp is a shady bunch San Francisco California

On FAQ page they claim that there is an automated filter which supposedly filters any questionable reviews.

It brings a number of questions in regards to their claim that it is "automated" and it is uses an algorithm to filter one or the other review.

Personally, I am very much sure, that this is all about the $$$. All this crap about an automated filter does not stand a chance. "Automatically" based on their bogus algorithm they "filtered" 9 out of 10 five star reviews on my daughter’s yelp page. And I am talking completely legitimate postings from completely verifiable legitimate reviewers. At this point I have no doubt in my mind that the previous ripoff reporters were absolutely right that Yelp is forcing the business owners to sign up for a paid account in order to avoid an "automatic" review filtering.

Shame on you Yelp! Your "public service" is nothing else but extortion!
