I recieved a notice from a company claiming to be attorneys by the name of adams, beene & berger. They were attempting to collect a debt that is well past the statuate of limitations and is well above the owed amount. The origional debter is listed as check n go and the amount they claim I owe is $1756.01. The notice implys that legal action including criminal prosectution will commence unless I agree to the settlement they offered by providing them with current account information in the form of a check or secure instrument. The settlement still exceeds the original debt by $1017.01 and the debt was iniated in 2016 on a bank account that was long since closed.
