ABC Quality movers asked me to ammend this report to say that our goods were not stolen. Indeed, after much back and forth, we have located our belongings in a storage facility several miles from our original house we were moving out of. However the unit is not in our name, so we cannot actually go get our belongings unless we fly one of us back acros the country, obviously at our own expense and the expense of missing work and finding extra childcare etc and meet with a representative of ABC there to verify that nothing is stolen so they can "release" to us everyhting we own. You see, ABC claims they were so troubled by this ripoff report that they rerouted a truck that was only a day away from Michigan back to San Francisco and put our stuff in the storage facility. They also very nicely told us we still owed them some money for all their troubles. They also told me that there were 4 other moves on that truck, so I wonder what happened to all that stuff? A bunch of other people must also be living in empty houses with no furniture, or clothes for work or sufficient warm clothing for their kids.
